the guide's got it right but one thing i'd add is the yangrou paomo at the place on xinhua road near the noodle house. it's a lamb soup with torn flatbread, really filling for 18 yuan and they give you a big bowl. most people walk past because the sign's faded but it's been there for like 20 years.
