Cambui is your best bet for walkability and food. The area around Avenida Júlio de Mesquita has a ton of restaurants and bars within a few blocks, and you can easily walk to the Bosque dos Jequitibás park during the day. For nightlife, Rua Maria Monteiro in Cambui has a good cluster of places that stay open late, especially on weekends. Just be aware that Cambui is pricier than other neighborhoods, but for a short trip it's worth it.
Nova Campinas is worth a look if you want something a bit quieter but still close to the action. Rua Dr. Emílio Ribas has a solid strip of bars and restaurants, and you're a 10 minute Uber from the Cambui nightlife if you want it. Seriously, look at Taquaral. It's close enough to Cambui to walk over for the nightlife but way cheaper and less crowded. Lake Taquaral park is right there for a nice walk during the day and there are plenty of decent restaurants and bars along Avenida
