**🏰 Explore the Alcázar** The Alcázar of Toledo is a massive stone fortress that dominates the city's skyline. Inside, you'll find the Army Museum with its impressive collection of armor and weapons. The views from the towers are worth the climb. It's open from 10:00 to 17:00, closed on Wednesdays, and entry is 5 euros for adults. **⛪ Visit the Cathedral** Toledo's Primate Cathedral is one of the most important Gothic cathedrals in Spain. Don't miss the stunning altarpiece and the transparente, a baroque skylight that lets light flood in. Audio guides are available for 3 euros. It's open daily from 10:00 to 18:30, and admission is 12.50 euros. **🛍️ Shop for Local Crafts** Toledo is famous for its damascene work, where gold and silver are inlaid into steel. You'll find authentic pieces at shops like Artesania Toledana on Calle Comercio. Prices range from 20 euros for small pendants to several hundred for larger items. Be wary of cheap imitations; look for the official hallmark. **🍽️ Taste Local Cuisine** Try the hearty stews like carcamusas and the famous marzipan from Santo Tomé. For a sit-down meal, head to Adolfo on Calle Hombre de Palo, which offers creative takes on traditional dishes. Expect to pay around 30 euros per person for a full meal. Many restaurants close between 16:00 and 20:00, so plan accordingly. **🚶 Wander the Jewish Quarter** The Jewish Quarter, or Judería, is a maze of narrow streets and hidden squares. Visit the El Greco Museum and the Synagogue of El Transito, which now houses a Sephardic museum. The area is best explored on foot; wear comfortable shoes. Most sites are open from 10:00 to 17:00, with a combined ticket for 8 euros. **🌉 Cross the Puente de San Martín** This medieval bridge offers fantastic views of the city and the Tagus River. It's a great spot for photos, especially at sunset. The bridge is free to walk across and is located just a short walk from the old town. Combine it with a visit to the nearby San Martín neighborhood for a quieter experience. **🎨 See El Greco's Masterpieces** El Greco lived in Toledo and his works are scattered throughout the city. The most famous is The Burial of the Count of Orgaz at the Church of Santo Tomé. Entry is 4 euros, and it's open from 10:00 to 18:45. The El Greco Museum also houses a fine collection and costs 3 euros. **🌃 Enjoy Evening Views** For a magical end to the day, head to the Mirador del Valle on the outskirts of the city. From here, you'll see the Alcázar and the cathedral illuminated against the night sky. It's a 20-minute walk from the old town, or you can take a taxi for about 10 euros. There are no lights, so bring a flashlight for the walk back.
