Headed to Cape Coral in 3 months - where should I eat?

Question

I'll be in Cape Coral for a week in about 3 months and I'm looking for good food spots. Not really into fancy stuff, more like solid local places for seafood or tacos. Any favorites I shouldn't miss?

If you want seafood without the waterfront markup, check the places along Cape Coral Parkway near the bridge, like The Boathouse or Rumrunners if you're near the marina. For tacos, the stretch of Del Prado north of Pine Island Road has a few taquerias that are solid, and there's a good one tucked in the strip mall by the Publix on Santa Barbara. Three months out means you'll be here in season, so call ahead on weekends or you'll wait.

Since nobody's mentioned breakfast, that's where Cape Coral actually shines. Ruby's on Cape Coral Parkway does a proper diner plate and the conch fritters at the little Cuban spot on Del Prado near the 7-Eleven are worth the detour. For seafood that isn't fried, the grouper at Marker 92 in the Westin is pricier but they'll cook it however you ask, and the view over the river makes it a decent one-night splurge. Book anything on the water at least a week out in season, the snowbirds take every table by 6pm.

honestly the best seafood move is buying it yourself. there's a little fish market on SE 47th Ter near the bridge, Gulf Coast Seafood I think, and you can get fresh grouper or stone crab right off the boat depending on the month. grab some and cook it wherever you're staying, way better than most restaurants and half the price. for tacos, look for the trucks parked along Pondella Rd in the evenings, they don't show up on google maps but they're legit.

tbh the seafood shacks off Del Prado are where its at, not teh fancy waterfront ones. try Pinch A Penny... wait thats a pool store lol. i mean like the little places near Cape Harbour, or just hit up a taco truck on Pine Island Rd. thats were the locals go
