**🗺️ Arrival and Orientation** Ciudad Obregon is compact and easy to navigate, with most attractions clustered around the centro and the main avenue, Miguel Aleman. Upon arrival at the bus station or airport, take a taxi to your hotel; expect to pay around 80 to 120 pesos from the bus station to the centro. Use the first afternoon to stroll the Plaza de Armas and get your bearings. Pick up a local map at the tourist kiosk on the plaza, open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. **🏨 Where to Stay** For convenience, base yourself near the centro, where hotels like Hotel San Carlos (Calle 5 de Febrero 401) offer clean rooms from about 700 pesos per night. If you prefer more modern comforts, the Fiesta Inn (Miguel Aleman 701) has rooms from 1,200 pesos and is within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Book ahead during the agricultural expo in March, when prices rise. **☕ Day 1 Morning: Centro** Start your day at Cafe La Terraza (Calle 5 de Febrero 320) for a hearty breakfast of chilaquiles and coffee for around 120 pesos, open from 7 am. Then explore the Catedral de San Jose, a short walk away, and the nearby Palacio Municipal. Allow two hours to wander the pedestrian-friendly streets and admire the colonial architecture. **🌳 Day 1 Afternoon: Parks** After lunch at a local taqueria, head to Parque Los Pioneros, a large green space with a lake and walking paths. It's a 15-minute taxi ride from the centro (about 60 pesos) or a 30-minute walk. Rent a paddle boat for 50 pesos per hour or simply relax under the shade trees. **🍽️ Day 1 Evening: Dining** For dinner, try the seafood at Mariscos El Rey (Calle 200, Colonia Centro), known for its shrimp ceviche and fish tacos, with mains around 150 pesos. The restaurant opens at 5 pm and fills up quickly, so arrive early. Afterward, enjoy a stroll along Calzada Colosio, where you'll find ice cream stands and street performers. **🚌 Day 2: Day Trip** Take a morning bus to the nearby town of Navojoa, about 45 minutes away, to visit the Mayo Regional Museum. Buses depart every 30 minutes from the main terminal and cost 50 pesos. Spend the morning exploring the museum's exhibits on Mayo culture, then have lunch at a local fonda before returning to Ciudad Obregon by mid-afternoon. **🛍️ Day 2 Afternoon: Markets** Back in the city, visit the Mercado Municipal (Calle Allende between 5 de Febrero and Zaragoza) for fresh produce, local cheeses, and handicrafts. It's open daily from 6 am to 6 pm. Don't miss the chance to try a coyota, a sweet bread filled with piloncillo, from one of the stalls. **🎉 Day 3: Culture and Departure** On your final day, visit the Museo de Sonora (Calle 5 de Febrero 818) to learn about the region's history, open from 9 am to 5 pm (closed Mondays). Have a farewell lunch at La Casa de los Abuelos (Calle Guerrero 315), a family-run spot serving traditional Sonoran dishes like carne asada and flour tortillas. Allow 30 minutes to reach the airport or bus station for departure.
