What's the best way to get casual/flexible part time work in London?

Question

Title says most of it. Feeling the Christmas squeeze and need to pick up some extra cash.

Already signed up for agency hospitality work and zero intention of trying to do Deliveroo or similar. Anyone got any tips where might be good to look? I'm pretty open to anything.

agency work is good but also check out the temp section on sites like reed or indeed, loads of one-off stuff like event stewarding or warehouse packing that pays same day. crystal palace has a few christmas markets running through december and they're always looking for stall assistants or entry staff, just turn up and ask the organisers. also worth hitting up local pubs not chains, the landlord at the crown on high street let me work a few friday nights just from walking in and saying i was flexible

Honestly just walk into shops/restaurants/cafes in your area with your CV, a lot of places are so short staffed they'll take u on the spot for a few shifts a week. I know a few people who got bar work that way without any experience, just turned up when it was quiet and asked for the manager.

if you're near central london, check out the national gallery or british museum for evening event staffing. they hire temp helpers for private viewings and late openings this time of year, pays around 14-15 an hour and you just walk around making sure no one touches the art. also the royal parks are hiring for christmas light switch-on events and winter market stalls, apply direct on their website not through agencies. loads of people overlook council-run christmas stuff in southwark or camden but they pay weekly and are super flexible with hours
