**🗓️ Day 1 Old Town** Start your first day at Hull Minster, a stunning 14th-century church that opens at 10am with free entry. From there, wander through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, popping into the Museums Quarter on High Street, where the Streetlife Museum and Hull and East Riding Museum are both free. Grab lunch at the Grade II listed White Hart pub on Alfred Gelder Street, where a hearty pie and pint costs around £12. In the afternoon, explore the historic Hepworth's Arcade and the Land of Green Ginger, finishing with a walk along the Marina to see the Arctic Corsair trawler. **🚶 Day 2 Marina and Museums** Begin at The Deep, Hull's award-winning submarium, which opens at 10am and costs £18 for adults. It's a 15-minute walk from the Old Town, or you can take the number 700 bus from Hull Paragon Interchange. After lunch at the nearby Fruit Market, head to the Ferens Art Gallery on Queen Victoria Square, free entry and open until 5pm. Spend the late afternoon at the Hull Maritime Museum on Queen Victoria Square, also free, before catching a show at Hull New Theatre on Kingston Square. **🎨 Day 3 Culture and Parks** Start with a visit to the University of Hull's Brynmor Jones Library on Cottingham Road, which houses a rare copy of Shakespeare's First Folio. Then take the number 105 bus to Pearson Park, a Victorian park with a beautiful aviary and lake, open daily from dawn until dusk. For lunch, try the vegetarian-friendly Garden Cafe on Princes Avenue, where mains are around £8. In the afternoon, explore the Hull History Centre on Worship Street, free entry, and finish with a stroll along the River Hull to see the Scale Lane Bridge. **🚌 Getting Around** Hull's city centre is compact and walkable, but for longer hops use the frequent bus services from Hull Paragon Interchange. A day ticket on Stagecoach costs £4.50, and a single fare is around £2. The number 700 bus runs from the Interchange to The Deep every 15 minutes, taking 10 minutes. Taxis are plentiful, with a typical 10-minute ride costing £6 to £8. **🍽️ Where to Eat** For a classic Hull patty, head to Bob Carver's on Chapel Street, where a patty and chips costs about £5. The Old House on Silver Street offers a modern British menu with mains from £12, open for lunch and dinner. If you're after something quick, the Trinity Market on King Edward Street has stalls serving everything from Thai curry to Yorkshire pudding wraps for under £8. Book ahead for dinner at The Pipe and Glass in nearby Beverley, a Michelin-starred pub about 20 minutes by car. **🏨 Where to Stay** The Old Town area has charming boutique hotels like the Hideaway on Land of Green Ginger, with doubles from £90 per night. For budget options, the Ibis on Ferensway offers rooms from £55 and is a 5-minute walk from the train station. If you prefer a quieter stay, the Village Hotel on Henry Boot Way has free parking and is a 10-minute drive from the centre. Book early for summer weekends, as Hull's events calendar fills up fast. **💷 Budget Tips** Many of Hull's best attractions are free, including the Museums Quarter, Ferens Art Gallery, and Hull Minster. A day ticket for buses costs £4.50, and you can save by walking between the Old Town and Marina. Lunch deals at pubs like the White Hart start at £6, and the Trinity Market is great for affordable eats. Keep an eye out for free events at Queen Victoria Square, especially during the summer. **🌙 Evening Activities** Catch a show at Hull New Theatre on Kingston Square, where tickets start at £15. For live music, the Polar Bear on Spring Bank hosts local bands most weekends with a £5 entry fee. The Old Town's historic pubs, like the George Hotel on Land of Green Ginger, are perfect for a quiet pint. End your night with a walk along the Marina, where the lights reflect beautifully on the water.
