**🗺️ Overview and Planning** This three-day itinerary groups activities by neighborhood to minimize transit time, focusing on Ao Nang, Railay, and the Phi Phi Islands. In 2026, expect peak season from November to March with higher prices and crowds, while green season from May to October offers discounts but occasional rain. Book accommodations and tours at least a month in advance for the best rates. Transportation between key areas typically takes 20 to 40 minutes by songthaew or longtail boat. **🏖️ Day 1: Ao Nang and Beaches** Start your day at Ao Nang Beach around 8:00 AM to enjoy cooler temperatures and fewer crowds. From 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, take a longtail boat to Railay Beach (200 baht round trip, 15 minutes) for rock climbing or simply relaxing on the sand. After lunch at a beachfront restaurant like The Last Fisherman (open 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, mains from 150 baht), spend the afternoon exploring Ao Nang's shops along Nopparat Thara Road. In the evening, head to Nopparat Thara Beach for sunset, then dine at Krua Thara seafood (open 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, expect to pay around 300 baht per person). **🚤 Day 2: Phi Phi Islands** Book a speedboat tour to the Phi Phi Islands, with pickups starting at 8:00 AM from Ao Nang. The journey takes about 45 minutes to Phi Phi Don, and tours typically include stops at Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, and Viking Cave. Most tours cost between 1,200 and 1,800 baht per person, including lunch and snorkeling gear. Return to Ao Nang by 5:00 PM, and spend the evening at the Ao Nang Night Market (open 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM) for street food like pad thai and mango sticky rice. **🌿 Day 3: Jungle and Hot Springs** Rent a scooter (around 250 baht per day) or hire a private driver (1,500 baht for half-day) to explore Krabi's inland attractions. Start at the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) at 8:00 AM, climbing the 1,260 steps for panoramic views. Then drive 20 minutes to the Krabi Hot Springs (entry 200 baht, open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) for a relaxing soak in natural pools. On the way back, stop at the Emerald Pool (entry 200 baht, open 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM) for a swim in the crystal-clear water. **🚐 Getting Around Krabi** Songthaews (shared trucks) are the main public transport in Krabi, with fares starting at 20 baht for short hops and up to 60 baht for longer routes like Ao Nang to Krabi Town. For flexibility, use ride-hailing apps like Grab, which are widely available in 2026 and cost around 100 to 200 baht for a 20-minute trip. Longtail boats between Ao Nang and Railay run from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and cost 100 baht per person each way. Always agree on the fare before boarding to avoid surprises. **🍜 Where to Eat** Ao Nang has a wide range of dining options, from street food stalls to upscale restaurants. For authentic Thai food, try Krua Thara (open 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, mains from 120 baht) or the local night market for cheap eats. In Krabi Town, head to the weekend walking street (Friday to Sunday, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM) for regional specialties. Railay Beach offers beachfront dining at places like Railay Princess Resort (open 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, mains from 200 baht). **🏨 Accommodation Tips** Ao Nang is the most convenient base for this itinerary, with hotels ranging from budget guesthouses (500 baht per night) to luxury resorts (5,000 baht per night). Railay offers a more secluded stay but is pricier and accessible only by boat. Krabi Town is cheaper and more local, but you'll need transport to reach the beaches. Book early for the best deals, especially during peak season from November to March. **💡 Budget and Packing** A daily budget of 1,500 to 2,500 baht per person covers meals, transport, and activities, excluding accommodation. Carry cash in small bills for songthaews and street vendors, as many places don't accept cards. Pack reef-safe sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and quick-dry clothing for boat trips. In 2026, expect higher prices during peak season, so plan accordingly.
