**🏛️ Start at the Uppatasanti Pagoda** Begin your visit at the Uppatasanti Pagoda, a nearly exact replica of Yangon's Shwedagon Pagoda. It stands 99 meters tall and is open daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with free entry. Climb the eastern staircase for panoramic views of the city's wide boulevards. **🏛️ Tour the Parliament Complex** The massive Hluttaw (Parliament) complex is a symbol of Nay Pyi Taw's grand scale. You can join a free guided tour of the grounds, but you must bring your passport and register at the visitor center at least 30 minutes in advance. Tours run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays. **🛍️ Shop at Myoma Market** For a taste of local life, head to Myoma Market (also known as Nay Pyi Taw Market) in the Zabuthiri Township. It is open daily from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM and offers fresh produce, textiles, and souvenirs. Bargaining is expected, so start at half the asking price. **🦁 Visit the Safari Park** The Nay Pyi Taw Safari Park is a drive-through zoo featuring lions, tigers, and elephants in spacious enclosures. Entry costs 5,000 kyat for adults, and the park is open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Bring your own car or hire a taxi for the 5-kilometer route. **🚶 Stroll the Water Fountain Garden** The Water Fountain Garden is a 165-acre park with synchronized musical fountains, a small lake, and walking paths. It is located near the Parliament and is free to enter. The best time to visit is after sunset when the fountains are illuminated with colorful lights. **🍜 Eat at the Junction Hotel Food Court** For a reliable meal, try the food court at the Junction Hotel on Yaza Htarnar Road. It offers a mix of Burmese dishes like mohinga and fried noodles, with most dishes costing between 2,000 and 4,000 kyat. The food court is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. **🚌 Getting Around the City** Nay Pyi Taw is spread out, so taxis are the most practical option. Metered taxis start at 2,000 kyat, but agree on a price before the ride. Alternatively, rent a bicycle from your hotel for around 5,000 kyat per day to explore the quieter zones at your own pace. **🌅 Best Evening Spots** For sunset, head to the Ngalaik Lake Gardens, about 15 kilometers south of the city center. The park is open until 7:00 PM and offers boat rentals for 10,000 kyat per hour. Another option is the Nay Pyi Taw Golf Club, where you can enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking the fairways.
