**🏖️ Agadir Beach Essentials** Agadir's main beach stretches for 10 kilometers, but the best spot for swimming is near the lifeguard stations at the northern end, close to the marina. Sunbeds and umbrellas cost around 50 MAD per day, and you can negotiate a lower price if you plan to stay for several days. The beach is patrolled from 9 AM to 6 PM, and the water is cleanest in the morning before the wind picks up. **🏰 Kasbah and Panoramic Views** The Kasbah of Agadir, a restored 16th-century fortress, sits on a hill 236 meters above the city and offers the best panoramic views of the bay and port. Entry is free, and it's a 15-minute walk uphill from the beach or a short taxi ride (around 30 MAD). Go around 5 PM to catch the sunset and avoid the midday heat. **🐪 Camel Rides and Desert Vibes** Camel rides along the beach are a classic Agadir experience, with operators near the marina charging about 100 MAD for a 30-minute ride. For a more authentic desert feel, head to the nearby village of Tifnit, where you can ride camels on the dunes and enjoy mint tea. Book through a reputable agency like Agadir Camel Riding to ensure animal welfare standards. **🛍️ Souk El Had Shopping** Souk El Had is one of the largest markets in Morocco, with over 6,000 stalls selling everything from spices to leather goods. It's located on Avenue du 29 Février, about 3 kilometers from the beach, and is open daily from 8 AM to 8 PM (closed on Fridays until 2 PM). Haggling is expected, so start at half the asking price and be prepared to walk away. **🍽️ Local Food and Dining** For authentic Moroccan cuisine, try the tagine at Restaurant Le Riad on Rue de la Foire, where a three-course meal costs around 150 MAD. The marina area has more tourist-oriented restaurants, but for fresh seafood, head to the port fish market and pick your fish to be grilled on the spot. Don't miss the traditional mint tea at Café Argana in the Talborjt district, a local favorite since 1960. **🌿 Parks and Gardens** The Valley of Birds (Vallée des Oiseaux) is a free public garden in the city center with a small zoo and botanical collection, open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM. For a quieter escape, visit the Agadir Oufella garden near the Kasbah, which offers shaded paths and views over the port. The Souk El Had garden is also a peaceful spot to rest after shopping. **🏄 Water Sports and Surfing** Agadir is a great spot for surfing, with several schools along the beach offering lessons for beginners. Check out Surf School Agadir near the marina, which charges around 300 MAD for a two-hour lesson including equipment. For something different, try jet skiing or parasailing at the beach, with prices starting at 200 MAD for a short ride. **🚌 Getting Around Agadir** Agadir's city center is walkable, but for longer distances, use the local buses (fare 4 MAD) or the small red taxis, which are metered and start at 5 MAD. Ride-hailing apps like Careem operate in the city, offering a convenient alternative. To reach the Kasbah or Souk El Had, a taxi from the beach should cost no more than 30 MAD.
