**🗺️ Day 1 Morning: Old Town** Start at Tanbei Old Town's South Gate (open 8:00-18:00) and walk the main lane to the 600-year-old Drum Tower. The morning light is best for photos before tour groups arrive around 10:30. Allow 90 minutes to wander the side alleys and peek into the free folk museum at No. 12 Old Market Street. **🍜 Day 1 Lunch and Afternoon** For lunch, try Wang's Noodle House at 45 Old Market Street, where a bowl of hand-pulled beef noodles costs about 18 yuan and the shop closes at 14:00. After eating, walk 10 minutes east to the Tanbei River Promenade and join the 14:30 riverboat tour (40 yuan, 50 minutes). The boat docks near the East Bridge, putting you a short walk from the Ceramics Museum (free entry, closed Mondays). **🌙 Day 1 Evening: Night Market** Head to the Night Market on Fuxing Road, which runs from 17:30 to 23:00 and is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute taxi (about 10 yuan) from the Old Town. Graze on grilled squid skewers (5 yuan), stinky tofu (8 yuan), and local rice wine (12 yuan per cup). The market is busiest from 19:00 to 21:00, so arrive early if you want a seat at the communal tables. **🏛️ Day 2 Morning: Museum District** Take bus 12 from the Old Town North Gate to the City Museum stop (20 minutes, 2 yuan). The Tanbei City Museum opens at 9:00 and is free with ID; the bronze gallery on the second floor is the highlight. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Art Gallery at 88 Wenhua Road, which opens at 10:00 and charges 20 yuan for special exhibitions. **🥟 Day 2 Lunch and Park** Lunch at Dumpling Corner (22 Wenhua Road) serves 12 dumplings for 15 yuan and stays open until 14:30. Afterward, walk 5 minutes to People's Park, where you can rent a paddle boat for 30 yuan per hour or simply watch the tai chi groups. The park's tea house, near the north entrance, offers unlimited refills for 25 yuan and is a good spot to rest until 15:30. **🏮 Day 2 Evening: Temple Street** Catch bus 8 from People's Park to Temple Street (15 minutes, 2 yuan) and arrive by 17:00 to see the Confucius Temple before it closes at 17:30. The surrounding pedestrian street lights up at dusk, and the small shops sell paper lanterns and calligraphy brushes. Dinner at Old Tanbei Kitchen (9 Temple Street) features local dishes like braised pork belly for around 45 yuan per person. **🚌 Day 3 Morning: Day Trip** Take the 8:30 bus from Tanbei Long-Distance Station to Qinghe Village (40 minutes, 8 yuan), a well-preserved farming village with stone houses and a weekend craft market. The village's main square has a breakfast stall selling congee and fried dough sticks for 6 yuan. Return to Tanbei by 12:30 to keep the afternoon free. **🛍️ Day 3 Afternoon: Shopping** Spend the afternoon at the Tanbei Craft Market on Jianguo Road (open 10:00-18:00), where local vendors sell handmade ceramics, silk scarves, and tea. Prices are fixed, but many stalls offer small discounts for cash. The market is a 10-minute taxi ride (about 12 yuan) from the long-distance station, and luggage storage is available at the information desk for 5 yuan.
