**🗺️ Day One Overview** Start your trip in the old town, where most historic sites cluster. Begin at the Leping Ancient City Wall (open daily 8:00 to 18:00, free entry) and walk south along the moat. This area is compact, so you can cover it on foot before lunch. **🏛️ Morning: Historic Heart** Visit the Leping Museum (No. 12 Zhongshan Road, open 9:00 to 17:00, closed Mondays) to understand local ceramic history. Then stroll to the nearby Confucius Temple (entrance 20 yuan), a restored Ming dynasty complex with beautiful gardens. Allow two hours total, including a short coffee break at the museum café. **🍜 Lunch: Local Noodles** For a quick, authentic meal, head to Lao Zhang Noodle Shop (78 East Street, open 11:00 to 14:00). Their signature beef noodles cost 15 yuan and are served with pickled vegetables. Expect a short line, so arrive before noon to avoid the rush. **🏞️ Afternoon: Riverside Walk** After lunch, walk ten minutes to the Leping River promenade, which runs from the old bridge to the new one. The path is flat and shaded, with several pavilions for resting. You can also rent a paddleboat for 30 yuan per half hour at the dock near the east gate. **🌆 Evening: Night Market** As the sun sets, the night market on West Street comes alive, with stalls selling grilled skewers and sweet tofu. Try the local specialty, Leping rice wine, at a small bar called Old Cellar (No. 5 West Street, open until 23:00). Most stalls accept cash or mobile payment, so carry some small bills. **🚌 Day Two Transport** On day two, take bus 12 from the central station to the southern hills, a 25-minute ride that costs 2 yuan. Buses run every 15 minutes from 6:30 to 21:00. Alternatively, a taxi costs about 20 yuan and takes 15 minutes. **⛰️ Morning: Hiking Trails** Start at the South Hill Trailhead, which offers a moderate two-hour climb to the summit pagoda. The trail is well marked, and you'll pass a small waterfall at the halfway point. Bring water, as there are no shops on the trail, and wear sturdy shoes. **🏺 Afternoon: Ceramic Village** Descend the hill and take a 10-minute taxi to the Ceramic Village, where artisans still use traditional kilns. You can watch a pottery demonstration at the Li Family Workshop (open 13:00 to 17:00, entrance 10 yuan). Try your hand at shaping a small bowl for an extra 25 yuan. **🍲 Dinner: Family-Style** For dinner, book a table at Grandma's Kitchen (No. 3 Lotus Lane, open 17:30 to 21:00), a popular spot for local home cooking. The set menu for two costs 88 yuan and includes three dishes and soup. Reservations are recommended on weekends. **🛍️ Day Three Shopping** Spend your final morning in the Silk Market, located near the north gate of the old town. You'll find scarves, ceramics, and tea, with prices negotiable. A good-quality scarf costs around 40 yuan, and most vendors accept mobile payment. **🚆 Departure Tips** Leping's high-speed rail station is 20 minutes from the center by taxi (about 30 yuan). Trains to Nanchang depart hourly, and the journey takes 40 minutes. Arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before departure, as security checks can be slow.
