**🗺️ Day 1: City Center** Start your morning at the National Museum, located on the Boulevard de la République, open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (entrance 2000 CFA). Then walk 10 minutes to the Mvog-Betsi Zoo (500 CFA) to see local wildlife. After lunch at a nearby restaurant like Le Bistrot (around 5000 CFA for a meal), spend the afternoon at the Benedictine Museum of Mont-Fébé, a 15-minute taxi ride (2000 CFA) from the center. **🌆 Day 1 Evening: Mfoundi** Head to the Mfoundi neighborhood for dinner at Le Safoutier, a popular spot for Cameroonian dishes (mains 4000-7000 CFA). Afterward, take a short walk to the nearby Yaounde Central Market for a lively evening atmosphere. The market stays open until 8:00 PM, and you can buy local crafts or fresh fruit. **🌿 Day 2: Nature & Hills** Begin at the Botanical Garden of Yaounde (free entry, open 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM), a 20-minute taxi from the city center (2500 CFA). Then hike up Mount Fébé (about 1 hour) for panoramic views; the trail starts near the Mont-Fébé Hotel. Pack water and snacks, as there are no vendors on the trail. **🏛️ Day 2 Afternoon: Art & Culture** Visit the Blackitude Museum in the Bastos district (entry 3000 CFA, open 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM), which showcases Cameroonian art and history. It's a 15-minute taxi from Mount Fébé (2000 CFA). For lunch, try La Cascade in Bastos, known for grilled fish (around 6000 CFA). **🍴 Day 2 Evening: Nightlife** Explore the nightlife in the Mvog-Mbi area, starting with dinner at Le Biniou (mains 5000-8000 CFA). Then head to a local bar like Le Must for live music and drinks (beer from 1500 CFA). Taxis back to central hotels cost about 3000 CFA after 10:00 PM. **🛍️ Day 3: Markets & Souvenirs** Spend the morning at the Mokolo Market, the city's largest market, open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Bargain for textiles, spices, and crafts. It's a 10-minute taxi from the city center (1500 CFA). For lunch, eat at a street food stall offering brochettes and plantains (around 2000 CFA). **🚌 Getting Around** Taxis are the main transport; shared rides cost 300-500 CFA per person within the city, while private trips are 1500-3000 CFA. Negotiate the fare before boarding. Buses (like those from the Mvan terminal) are cheaper but slower; a ride from the center to Bastos costs 200 CFA. Plan 15-30 minutes for short trips and up to 1 hour for cross-city journeys. **💡 Practical Tips** Carry cash (CFA francs) as many places don't accept cards. ATMs are common in the city center but may charge fees. French is widely spoken; a few phrases help. Stay in neighborhoods like Bastos or the city center for safety and convenience. Avoid walking alone after dark in less busy areas.
