**🗺️ Day 1 Morning: Historic Center** Start at Praça Mauá, the historic heart of Santos, around 9 AM. Visit the Coffee Museum (Rua XV de Novembro, 95) which opens at 9 AM and costs R$10 for adults. Then walk 10 minutes to the Cathedral (Praça José Bonifácio) and the Pelé Museum (Rua XV de Novembro, 123) if you are a football fan. Allow 2 hours for the center, and use the free tram that loops every 30 minutes. **🚢 Day 1 Afternoon: Port Area** After lunch, head to the Porto Museum (Rua República do Chile, 10) which is a 15-minute walk from the center. The museum is open from 10 AM to 6 PM, and entry is R$8. Then take a 20-minute walk to the waterfront promenade for views of the largest port in Latin America. Buses 1 and 2 run frequently between the center and the port. **🏖️ Day 2 Morning: Gonzaga Beach** Spend the morning at Gonzaga Beach, the most popular urban beach in Santos. Arrive by 9 AM to secure a spot; umbrellas and chairs rent for about R$20. The beach is lined with kiosks selling coconut water and snacks. From the center, take bus 10 or 11 (20 minutes) or a taxi (15 minutes, around R$25). **🌳 Day 2 Afternoon: Orchid Garden** After lunch, visit the Santos Orchid Garden (Rua João Guerra, 60) which is open from 9 AM to 5 PM and free to enter. It is a 10-minute walk from Gonzaga Beach. Then relax at the nearby Boqueirão Beach or explore the shops along Avenida Ana Costa. Buses 20 and 30 connect the beach area to the garden. **⛰️ Day 3 Morning: Monte Serrat** Take the historic funicular railway (bondinho) up Monte Serrat for panoramic views of the city and port. The ride costs R$10 round trip and runs every 20 minutes from 8 AM to 6 PM. The viewpoint at the top is free and offers the best photo opportunities in Santos. From the center, it is a 15-minute walk to the funicular station. **🐒 Day 3 Afternoon: Ecological Park** In the afternoon, visit the Botanical Garden and Ecological Park (Rua Ovídio Pires de Campos, 150) which is open from 8 AM to 5 PM and free. The park has trails, a lake, and a small zoo with monkeys and birds. It is a 20-minute bus ride (line 40) from the center. Bring insect repellent and water. **🚌 Getting Around Santos** Santos has a reliable bus system with fares at R$5.50 per ride; you can pay with cash or a Bilhete Único card. Taxis and ride-sharing apps like Uber are also available, with average trips within the city costing R$15 to R$30. The city is relatively flat, so walking and cycling are good options in the beach neighborhoods. Allow 20 to 30 minutes for most cross-town trips during peak hours. **🍽️ Where to Eat** For lunch, try the traditional fish stew (moqueca) at Restaurante Maré (Rua Guaiaó, 30) near Gonzaga Beach, with mains around R$60. For a quick snack, grab a pastel at the Feira de Artesanato on Sundays at Praça do Sesc. Dinner options include the churrascaria Novilho de Ouro (Avenida Ana Costa, 400) where a rodízio costs about R$80 per person. Most restaurants open at noon and close around 11 PM.
