**🍽️ Where to Start** Begin your culinary tour in the Oregon District, Dayton's historic entertainment hub. This walkable stretch of East Fifth Street is packed with eateries, from casual pubs to upscale dining. For a classic start, try the famous hamburgers at The Dublin Pub, located at 300 Wayne Avenue, where a gourmet burger runs about $14. **🌮 Taco Tuesday Favorites** Dayton has a vibrant taco scene, and Taqueria Mixteca at 1922 South Smithville Road is a local favorite for authentic Mexican street tacos. Their al pastor and carnitas tacos are only $2.50 each, and the salsa bar is free. For a more upscale twist, visit El Meson at 903 East Dixie Drive, where the tacos are $12 and feature gourmet fillings like grilled shrimp. **🍕 Pizza Perfection** When it comes to pizza, Daytonians swear by Joe's Pizza and Pasta at 2711 Wilmington Pike. Their New York-style slices are $3.50, and the whole pies start at $15. For a wood-fired option, head to Wheat Penny Oven and Bar at 515 Wayne Avenue, where the margherita pizza costs $16 and is baked in a traditional brick oven. **🍔 Burger Joints** For a no-frills burger experience, visit Nick's Restaurant at 1600 East Third Street, a family-owned spot since 1958. Their famous Nick's Burger is a half-pound patty with grilled onions and cheese for $9.95. If you prefer a gourmet patty, try The Corner Kitchen at 111 Webster Street, where the bison burger is $15 and comes with house-made pickles. **🍩 Sweet Treats** Satisfy your sweet tooth at Bill's Donut Shop, a Dayton institution at 1219 Shroyer Road. Their classic glazed donuts are $1.25 each, and the shop is open 24 hours on weekends. For artisan ice cream, visit Graeter's Ice Cream at 2601 Far Hills Avenue, where a scoop costs $4.50 and the black raspberry chip is a local favorite. **🍜 Asian Flavors** Dayton's Asian food scene is diverse, and Thai 9 at 11 Brown Street offers some of the best pad thai in the city, with prices around $13. For ramen, try Sake Japanese Restaurant at 2600 Colonel Glenn Highway, where a bowl of tonkotsu ramen is $14. Both spots are popular, so consider going early to avoid the dinner rush. **🍺 Brewpub Bites** Pair your meal with a local craft beer at Warped Wing Brewing Company, located at 26 Wyandot Street. Their brewery taproom serves elevated pub fare like the pretzel with beer cheese for $8 and a smoked brisket sandwich for $14. Another great option is Dayton Beer Company at 41 Madison Street, which offers a rotating food truck schedule and a cozy patio. **💵 Budget Bites** If you're watching your wallet, head to the Dayton Arcade at 28 West Third Street, where the food hall features several vendors with items under $10. Try the gyro at Olive Mediterranean Grill for $8.50 or the empanadas at Salar Restaurant for $7. For a quick and cheap breakfast, Marion's Piazza at 1535 Miamisburg Centerville Road serves a breakfast pizza for $9.99.
