**🍽️ Where to Start** Begin your culinary tour in the heart of the Old City, where historic streets are packed with eateries. For a quintessential Bristol experience, head to St Nicholas Market, open daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and sample the diverse street food stalls. Don't miss the famous 'Pieminister' stall, offering gourmet pies like the 'Moo' and 'Chicken of Aragon' for around £6 each. **🍜 Street Food Scene** Bristol's street food scene thrives at Wapping Wharf, a converted dockyard area known as 'Cargo'. Here, you'll find more than 20 shipping containers turned into eateries, including 'Box-E', a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant serving modern British small plates. For a quick bite, try 'Mogu Mogu' for Japanese street food, with takoyaki and okonomiyaki priced between £5 and £9. **🍕 Pizza and Italian** For exceptional Neapolitan pizza, visit 'Pizzarova' on Cheltenham Road, where the dough is fermented for 48 hours and baked in a wood-fired oven. A classic Margherita costs £8.50, and they offer vegan options too. Another favorite is 'Farmacy' on Whiteladies Road, an Italian deli and restaurant with fresh pasta dishes starting at £12. **🍔 Burgers and Brunch** Satisfy your burger cravings at 'Three Brothers Burgers' on Gloucester Lane, known for their smashed patties and creative toppings, with burgers from £9. For a hearty brunch, head to 'The Bristolian' on Picton Street, where the 'Full Bristolian' breakfast (including bubble and squeak) is a local legend at £12.50. Be prepared to queue on weekends, as it's extremely popular. **🌿 Vegetarian and Vegan** Bristol is a haven for plant-based eaters, with 'Eat Your Greens' on North Street offering a fully vegan menu that changes daily, featuring dishes like jackfruit tacos and cashew cheese. Another must-visit is 'Vx' on Cheltenham Road, a vegan café and grocery store with hearty bowls and cakes, mains around £10. For a fine-dining experience, 'Milk Thistle' on Baldwin Street serves a vegan tasting menu for £45 per person. **🍰 Sweet Treats** Indulge your sweet tooth at 'Mrs Potts Chocolate House' on Park Street, where you can enjoy handcrafted chocolates and a decadent hot chocolate for £4.50. For artisan ice cream, visit 'Swoon Gelato' on Cotham Hill, with flavors like salted caramel and strawberry balsamic, a single scoop at £3.50. Don't miss the legendary 'Bake' on Gloucester Road, known for its towering cakes and pastries. **🏘️ Hidden Neighborhoods** Venture to Stokes Croft, a bohemian area filled with independent eateries and a vibrant street art scene. Here, 'The Canteen' serves Mediterranean-inspired sharing plates, with mezze boards for two at £25. Another gem is 'Bianchis' on Picton Street, a tiny Italian restaurant with only a few tables, offering homemade pasta and a cozy atmosphere, mains around £15. **💷 Local Prices** Eating out in Bristol can fit any budget. A casual street food meal typically costs between £6 and £10, while a sit-down dinner at a mid-range restaurant averages £15 to £25 per person. For a special occasion, fine dining establishments like 'Casamia' on Lower Guinea Street offer tasting menus from £95, but many locals prefer the more affordable 'Poco' on Jamaica Street, where a seasonal small plates dinner is about £30.
