**🗺️ Orientation and Transport** Mariupol spreads along the coast, so grouping sights by neighborhood saves time. The city center (Prospekt Myru) and the port area are walkable, but you'll need marshrutkas or taxis for outer districts. A taxi across town takes 15-20 minutes and costs 100-150 UAH; marshrutkas run every 10-15 minutes for 10 UAH. Start each day early to maximize daylight. **🏛️ Day 1: Historic Center** Begin at 9:00 at the Local History Museum on Prospekt Myru to understand the city's Greek heritage. Walk 10 minutes to the Drama Theater and the adjacent Square of Liberation by 11:00. Lunch at Cafe Kolyba (vulytsia Italiiska 5) around 13:00, then visit the Art Museum (vulytsia Heorhiivska 58) from 14:30 to 16:00. End with a stroll along the Azov Sea promenade at sunset. **⛪ Day 2: Port and Churches** Start at 9:30 at the Port of Mariupol to see the Sea of Azov trade hub (viewing from the outside only). Walk 15 minutes to the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin on vulytsia Karpinskoho. Have lunch at Restaurant Azov (prospekt Myru 72) around 12:30, then take a 10-minute taxi to the Greek Catholic Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos. Spend the afternoon exploring the nearby Primorsky district's Soviet-era architecture. **🌳 Day 3: Parks and Culture** Morning at 9:00 in City Garden (Miskyi Sad) on prospekt Myru, then visit the nearby Mariupol Museum of Local Lore (vulytsia Heorhiivska 20) from 10:30 to 12:00. Lunch at Puzata Hata (prospekt Myru 50) around 12:30 for budget Ukrainian fare. Afternoon: take marshrutka 5 to the Azov Sea coast for a 2-hour beach walk, returning by 17:00. Evening options include the Philharmonic Hall (vulytsia Kuindzhi 48) for a concert. **🍽️ Where to Eat** For budget meals, try Puzata Hata (prospekt Myru 50) with mains from 60 UAH, open 8:00-22:00. Mid-range options include Cafe Kolyba (vulytsia Italiiska 5) serving Ukrainian classics for 150-250 UAH per person. For a splurge, Restaurant Azov (prospekt Myru 72) offers fresh Azov fish dishes around 400 UAH. Most places close by 23:00, so plan dinner before 21:00. **🚌 Getting Around** Marshrutkas (minibuses) are the main public transport, with fares at 10 UAH and routes covering most districts. Taxis via apps like Uber or local services cost 80-150 UAH for cross-town trips and are best for evening travel. Walking is pleasant in the center but distances between neighborhoods can be 3-5 km, so use transport for efficiency. Allow 20-30 minutes for any cross-town journey during peak hours. **💰 Budget and Practicalities** Expect daily costs of 800-1200 UAH for budget travelers (hostel, street food, public transport) and 2000-3000 UAH for mid-range (hotel, restaurant meals, taxis). Carry cash in hryvnia as many small businesses don't accept cards. ATMs are plentiful in the center, but outside the ring road they are scarce. Most museums charge 50-100 UAH entry and close on Mondays. **🌙 Evening Spots** The Azov Sea promenade (Primorsky Boulevard) is ideal for sunset walks and people-watching, with cafes open until 22:00. For nightlife, check the Philharmonic Hall (vulytsia Kuindzhi 48) for concerts or the Drama Theater for evening performances. Bar 12 (prospekt Myru 12) is a popular spot for drinks, open until midnight. Avoid walking in poorly lit areas after dark and use taxis for return trips.
