**🌳 Start at Expo Park** Expo Park is Daejeon's legacy from the 1993 World Expo, now a sprawling green space with science museums and a large pond. The Daejeon Museum of Art sits on the edge, offering rotating contemporary exhibits. Entry to the park is free, and it's a 10-minute walk from Government Complex Daejeon Station. **🏛️ Explore Yuseong Hot Springs** Yuseong-gu is famous for its natural hot springs, with public bathhouses and resort spas dotting the area. Try Yuseong Spa (24, Oncheon-ro) for a traditional jjimjilbang experience; admission is around 12,000 won. The nearby Yuseong Market offers street food and local produce, perfect for a post-soak snack. **🏞️ Hike at Gyeryongsan National Park** Just south of Daejeon, Gyeryongsan offers well-marked trails with temple ruins and panoramic views. The Donghaksa Temple trail is a moderate 4-kilometer hike that takes about 2 hours. Take bus 107 from Daejeon Station to the park entrance; the ride is roughly 40 minutes. **🔬 Visit the National Science Museum** Korea's largest science museum, located at 481 Daedeok-daero, features hands-on exhibits, an IMAX theater, and a planetarium. General admission is 4,000 won for adults, and it's open from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (closed Mondays). The museum is a 15-minute taxi ride from Yuseong-gu. **🍜 Eat at Daejeon's Dakgalbi Alley** Daejeon is known for its spicy stir-fried chicken (dakgalbi), and the best spot is Dakgalbi Alley near Jungang-ro. A single serving costs about 10,000 won, and you can add rice or noodles to finish. Arrive before 6 PM to avoid the dinner rush; the alley is a 5-minute walk from Jungang-ro Station (Exit 1). **🌃 Enjoy Evening Views at Daecheong Lake** Daecheong Lake, a large reservoir east of the city, has a scenic walking path and a sky observatory. The observatory is open until 10 PM, and the reflection of city lights on the water is stunning. Take bus 311 from Daejeon Station to Daecheong Dam stop; the ride takes about 30 minutes. **🚲 Bike Along Gapcheon Stream** Gapcheon Stream runs through central Daejeon with a dedicated bike path stretching over 15 kilometers. Rent a bike from Daejeon Bike (near City Hall Station) for 3,000 won per hour. The path connects to Expo Park and Yuseong, making it a great way to see multiple attractions in one afternoon.
