**🏛️ Museum Hop** Start at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA Park, Doha Corniche), open Saturday to Thursday 9am-7pm and Friday 1:30pm-7pm; entry is 50 QAR for adults. Don't miss the National Museum of Qatar (Museum Park Street), designed by Jean Nouvel, with immersive galleries that tell Qatar's story from desert to skyscraper. Both museums offer free admission on certain days, so check their websites before you go. **🛍️ Souq Waqif** This restored traditional market (Al Souq Street) is a maze of alleys selling spices, textiles, and gold. Haggle respectfully for souvenirs, but also stop by the Falcon Souq section to see these majestic birds up close. Visit in the early evening when the air cools and the cafes fill with shisha smoke and local chatter. **🌊 Doha Corniche** The 7-kilometer waterfront promenade offers stunning views of the West Bay skyline. Rent a bicycle or take a leisurely stroll, especially at sunset when the city lights begin to twinkle. You can also catch a traditional dhow boat ride from the harbor for around 40 QAR per person for a 30-minute cruise. **🎨 Katara Cultural Village** Located on the eastern coast between West Bay and The Pearl, Katara is a sprawling arts and culture hub. Explore the amphitheater, art galleries, and the Katara Mosque with its stunning blue-and-gold tiles. Check the events calendar for free concerts, film screenings, and exhibitions that often take place in the evening. **🏖️ Desert Safari** Book a half-day desert safari with a local operator like Qatar Inbound Tours (prices start around 200 QAR per person). You'll ride over sand dunes in a 4x4, visit the inland sea at Khor Al Adaid, and often get a camel ride and barbecue dinner. Departures are usually in the afternoon, so you can catch the sunset over the dunes. **🍽️ Local Eats** For authentic Qatari cuisine, head to Al Aker Sweets in Souq Waqif for luqaimat (sweet dumplings) and karak chai. For a sit-down meal, try Parisa Souq Waqif (Al Ahmed Street) for Persian dishes in a stunning tiled setting, with mains around 60-100 QAR. Don't leave without sampling machboos, the national spiced rice dish with meat or seafood. **🚇 Getting Around** The Doha Metro (operated by Qatar Rail) is clean, efficient, and affordable, with single trips from 2 QAR. The Gold Line connects major attractions like Souq Waqif, MIA Park, and Katara. For areas like The Pearl or Lusail, combine the metro with the free feeder buses or take a taxi (Uber and Careem are widely available, with minimum fares around 25 QAR). **🌃 Evening Views** For a panoramic night view, head to the Sky View observation deck at the Torch Tower (Al Waab Street) in Aspire Park, open daily 9am-10pm, entry 50 QAR. Alternatively, book a table at the Three Sixty restaurant on the 47th floor of the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha for dinner with a rotating view of the skyline. Reservations are essential.
