**🍽️ Where to Start** Begin your food journey in Makati's central business district, where you'll find a mix of high-end restaurants and casual eateries. For a classic taste of Filipino cuisine, head to **Aristocrat Restaurant** at 432 San Andres Street, known for its chicken barbecue and java rice, with meals around PHP 250-400. If you're near Ayala Avenue, try **Manam** at Greenbelt 2, which serves modern Filipino comfort food like crispy sisig and house-made corned beef, with prices ranging from PHP 300-600 per dish. Both are open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, making them convenient for lunch or dinner. **🍜 Street Food and Markets** For an authentic street food experience, visit the **Salcedo Community Market** every Saturday from 7 AM to 2 PM at Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village. Here you'll find stalls selling everything from grilled skewers (PHP 50-100) to fresh lumpia (PHP 80) and local desserts like bibingka (PHP 60). Another option is the **Legazpi Sunday Market** at Legazpi Active Park, open Sundays from 7 AM to 2 PM, where you can sample lechon belly (PHP 150 per serving) and seafood paella (PHP 200). Bring cash, as most vendors don't accept cards. **🍣 Japanese and Asian Flavors** Makati has a thriving Japanese food scene, particularly around **Little Tokyo** on Chino Roces Avenue. This cluster of restaurants includes **Kikufuji**, famous for its fresh sashimi and bento sets (PHP 400-800), and **Orochi**, which serves hearty ramen (PHP 350-500). For a more upscale experience, try **Nobu** at City of Dreams Manila, where signature dishes like black cod miso cost around PHP 1,500-2,500. Most Little Tokyo spots open at 11 AM and close at 10 PM, with some staying open until midnight on weekends. **🍰 Cafes and Desserts** If you have a sweet tooth, don't miss **Wildflour Cafe + Bakery** at 4th Avenue corner 26th Street in Bonifacio Global City (technically Taguig but a short ride from Makati). Their cronuts (PHP 150) and salted caramel cake (PHP 220) are local favorites. In Makati proper, **The Curator Coffee & Cocktails** at 134 Legazpi Street offers specialty coffee (PHP 150-250) and inventive desserts like miso caramel ice cream (PHP 200). Closer to Makati, **Sarsa Kitchen + Bar** at 7th Avenue corner 29th Street in BGC serves regional dishes like chicken inasal (PHP 320) and batchoy (PHP 250). Both restaurants are open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM, and reservations are recommended on weekends. **🍺 Late-Night Eats** When hunger strikes after hours, **Bugis Street** at 2/F Greenbelt 3 is open until 2 AM, serving Singaporean favorites like Hainanese chicken rice (PHP 350) and laksa (PHP 400).
