**🍽️ Where to Start** Begin your food tour in the heart of Antipolo at the Antipolo Cathedral area, where the historic church draws a crowd of hungry pilgrims and locals alike. Just a short walk away, the Antipolo Public Market is a bustling hub of street food stalls and small eateries that offer a genuine taste of the city's everyday flavors. Arrive early in the morning to catch the freshest produce and the liveliest atmosphere. **🍗 Iconic Dishes** No visit to Antipolo is complete without trying the city's famous suman, a sweet sticky rice treat wrapped in banana leaves, often paired with ripe mangoes or a drizzle of coconut syrup. For a savory classic, head to Boso-Boso Highlands and order the crispy pata, a deep-fried pork knuckle that's a local favorite, served with a tangy soy-vinegar dip. Many restaurants along Sumulong Highway specialize in these dishes, with prices ranging from 150 to 400 pesos per plate. **🏞️ Scenic Dining Spots** For a meal with a view, book a table at Cafe Katerina, located at 1 Karapatan Street, where you can enjoy Filipino dishes while overlooking the Manila skyline, especially magical at sunset. Another must-visit is Tahanan Bistro, perched on a hill in Beverly Hills, offering a fine dining experience with a panoramic terrace; reservations are recommended on weekends. Expect to spend around 500 to 1,000 pesos per person for a full meal with drinks. **🍜 Street Food Gems** Wander through the night market along F. C. Meralco Avenue, where vendors grill pork skewers, isaw (chicken intestines), and betamax (dried pork blood) over charcoal, each stick costing just 10 to 20 pesos. Don't miss the taho vendor who walks the streets in the early morning, serving warm silken tofu with arnibal (brown sugar syrup) and sago pearls for a sweet 20-peso treat. For a heartier bite, try the goto at a stall near the Antipolo Church, a comforting rice porridge with beef tripe, priced at around 50 pesos per bowl. **🍰 Sweet Treats** After a savory meal, satisfy your sweet tooth at Crescent Moon Cafe and Restaurant, known for its homemade cakes and pastries, including the signature sans rival and ube cheesecake, with slices from 120 to 180 pesos. For a more traditional option, visit the Pasalubong Center along Sumulong Highway, where you can buy boxes of suman, kasuy (cashew nuts), and yema balls to take home, with prices starting at 100 pesos per pack. Pair your dessert with a cup of barako coffee, a strong local brew that's a Batangas specialty, available at most cafes. **💰 Budget Tips** To save money, eat where the locals eat: carinderias (small eateries) near the public market offer hearty meals like adobo or sinigang for as low as 60 to 80 pesos per plate. Street food is the cheapest option, so fill up on skewers and rice cakes for under 100 pesos total. Avoid touristy spots along the highway if you're on a tight budget, as they often charge a 20 to 30 percent markup for the view. **🚌 Getting Around** Antipolo is accessible from Manila via the LRT-2 line, which ends at Antipolo Station, and from there you can take a tricycle or jeepney to your food destination, with fares ranging from 15 to 50 pesos depending on distance. If you're driving, be prepared for heavy traffic on weekends, especially along Sumulong Highway, so consider visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds. Ride-hailing apps like Grab operate in the area, but surge pricing can be high during peak hours. **🌙 Evening Food Spots** As the sun sets, head to the Antipolo City Heights area, where open-air restaurants like The Nest offer cool breezes and a menu of grilled seafood and sizzling plates, with mains averaging 300 to 500 pesos. For a late-night snack, the 24-hour eateries along Marcos Highway serve unlimited rice meals and coffee, perfect for night owls. Always check the weather, as some outdoor spots close during heavy rain.
