**🍽️ Where to Start** Begin your culinary tour at the bustling Terminus Market, where you'll find a variety of local dishes. Try the famous 'miyan kuka' (baobab leaf soup) at Mama Halima's Food Spot, located near the main entrance. Prices are budget-friendly, with a full meal costing around 1,500 to 2,500 naira. **🍢 Street Food Favorites** For a quick bite, head to the streets around Ahmadu Bello Way, especially in the evenings. Suya (spiced grilled meat) from Mallam Ali's Suya Point is a must-try, with skewers starting at 500 naira. Don't miss the roasted plantains (bole) served with groundnut sauce from vendors near the Jos Museum. **🍲 Traditional Restaurants** For a sit-down meal, visit The Plateau Restaurant on Murtala Mohammed Way, known for its authentic 'gwote' (a local vegetable soup) and pounded yam. Another excellent choice is Nana's Kitchen on Ahmadu Bello Way, which serves a delicious 'tuwon shinkafa' with miyan taushe. Expect to pay between 3,000 and 5,000 naira per person. **🍕 International Options** If you're craving something different, try the Nigerian-Chinese fusion at Pearl Garden Restaurant on Yakubu Gowon Way. Their fried rice and sweet and sour chicken are popular, with mains from 4,000 naira. For Italian-style pizza, visit The Crust on Rayfield Road, where a large pizza costs about 6,000 naira. **🍰 Sweet Treats** End your meal with local desserts like 'chin chin' or 'puff puff' from street vendors, but for a more refined experience, visit the Jos Rez Bistro on Tafawa Balewa Road. Their 'zobo' drink (hibiscus) and small chops platter are perfect for sharing. A dessert and drink combo costs around 2,000 naira. **💰 Local Prices** Eating in Jos is generally affordable, with street food costing between 500 and 1,500 naira per item. Mid-range restaurant meals range from 3,000 to 6,000 naira, while upscale dining at places like The Plateau Restaurant can go up to 8,000 naira. Always carry cash, as many vendors don't accept cards. **📍 Hidden Neighborhoods** Venture into the Rayfield and Tudun Wada neighborhoods for lesser-known eateries. In Rayfield, try 'Mama T's' for its grilled fish and pepper soup, located on Rayfield Road. In Tudun Wada, 'Alhaji Bello's Kitchen' offers a fantastic 'dambu nama' (shredded beef) with rice, perfect for lunch. **🌙 Evening Food Spots** As night falls, the food scene shifts to open-air grills and bars. The 'Night Market' on Bauchi Road comes alive with stalls serving grilled chicken, 'kilishi' (spiced dried meat), and fresh fish. For a more relaxed evening, visit The View Lounge on Dogon Dutse Road, which offers a mix of local and continental dishes with a great city view.
