**🕌 Day 1: Medina and Kasbah** Start at the Kasbah of the Udayas around 9:00 AM to explore the blue and white streets and the Andalusian Gardens. Then walk down to the Medina and visit the Great Mosque and the Souk es-Sebbat. Break for lunch at a local spot like Dar Rbatia near Rue Tariq Ibn Ziyad. In the afternoon, see the Hassan Tower and Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which are a 15-minute walk from the Medina. **🏛️ Day 2: Chellah and Agdal** Begin at the Chellah necropolis when it opens at 9:00 AM, and spend about two hours among the Roman ruins and gardens. Then take a petit taxi to the Agdal district (10 minutes, around 20 MAD) to visit the National Archaeological Museum. Have lunch at a cafe on Avenue Fal Ould Oumeir. In the afternoon, stroll through the Jardin d'Essais Botaniques and the nearby Museum of Oudayas. **🌊 Day 3: Ocean and Modern City** Start at Rabat Beach around 9:00 AM for a walk along the Corniche. Then head to the Marina Bouregreg and take a short boat ride (30 minutes, 50 MAD) across the river to Sale. After returning, explore the modern city center: Avenue Mohammed V and the Parliament building. End the day with sunset at the Hassan Tower esplanade. **🚕 Getting Around** Rabat is compact, so most central sights are within walking distance. For longer hops, use petit taxis (meter starts at 7 MAD, most rides within the city cost 15 to 30 MAD). The tramway (lines 1 and 2) is useful for the Agdal and Hay Riad districts; a single ticket costs 6 MAD. Allow 20 to 30 minutes for cross-city trips during rush hours (7:30 to 9:30 AM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM). **🍽️ Where to Eat** For Moroccan classics, try Dinarjat (6 Rue Belgnaoui, medina) for tagines and couscous, open daily noon to 3:00 PM and 7:00 to 11:00 PM, mains 80 to 150 MAD. For a quick bite, head to the food stalls near the Medina's Bab El Had for msemen and harira (10 to 20 MAD). Le Dhow, a boat restaurant on the Bouregreg, offers seafood with views, mains 120 to 200 MAD. Budget around 200 to 300 MAD per day for food. **🏨 Where to Stay** The Medina and Kasbah area has charming riads like Riad Kalaa (3 Rue Zebdi, doubles from 600 MAD) and Dar Yanis (from 400 MAD). For modern comforts, the Agdal district offers hotels like Hotel Farah (Avenue Al Abtal, from 700 MAD). Budget travelers can find hostels near the train station, such as Rabat Youth Hostel (from 150 MAD per dorm bed). Book ahead for spring (March to May) and fall (September to November). **💡 Practical Tips** Most museums and monuments are free or cost 10 to 20 MAD, and they typically open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed on Mondays. Carry cash (dirhams) as many small shops and taxis do not accept cards. Learn a few Arabic or French phrases; French is widely spoken. Dress modestly when visiting religious sites, and remove shoes before entering mosques.
