**🌮 Street Food Essentials** Nezahualcoyotl's street food scene is vibrant and affordable. Head to Avenida Chimalhuacán near the Ciudad Jardín market for tacos de canasta at just 10 pesos each. Look for stalls with long queues, a sure sign of quality. **🍲 Must-Try Local Dishes** Don't miss the tlacoyos from the stall at Calle 5 and Avenida López Mateos, stuffed with requesón and topped with nopales. For a hearty meal, try the barbacoa at Barbacoa El Güero, located at Avenida Pantitlán 45, served only on weekends from 7 AM to 2 PM. **🍽️ Sit-Down Restaurants** For a full meal, visit La Casa de la Abuela at Calle 16 de Septiembre 123, where a three-course lunch costs around 150 pesos. Another option is El Rincón de Neza on Avenida Bordo de Xochiaca, known for its mole poblano and generous portions. **🥟 Best for Breakfast** Start your day at the Mercado de la Ciudad Jardín, where Doña Chuy's stall serves chilaquiles with green or red salsa for 40 pesos. Alternatively, grab a tamal from Tamales Doña Mary on Avenida López Mateos, open from 6 AM until sold out. **🍰 Sweet Treats** Indulge in a slice of tres leches cake at Pastelería Neza, located at Calle 4 #55, with slices starting at 25 pesos. For a traditional dessert, try the buñuelos from a street vendor near the Palacio Municipal, especially popular during festivals. **🚇 Navigating Food Spots** Most food stalls and markets are near Metro stations like Ciudad Jardín or Nezahualcóyotl on Line A. Buses and peseros run along Avenida Chimalhuacán and Avenida Pantitlán, making it easy to hop between eateries. Uber rides within the city rarely exceed 60 pesos. **💰 Price Guide** Street food tacos and tlacoyos cost 10 to 20 pesos each, while a full meal at a sit-down restaurant ranges from 100 to 200 pesos. Breakfast options are typically 40 to 80 pesos. Bring cash, as many stalls do not accept cards. **🌙 Evening Eats** For late-night cravings, head to the food stalls on Avenida Bordo de Xochiaca, open until midnight. Try the suadero tacos at Tacos El Chino, a local favorite, or the pambazos at Pambazos La Güera, both priced around 15 pesos each.
