**🌮 Street Food Staples** Start your food tour at the bustling Mercado Municipal de Naucalpan, where vendors serve tacos al pastor, quesadillas, and tlacoyos from early morning until late afternoon. For a legendary torta, head to Tortas El Wero on Avenida 16 de Septiembre, where the 'Torta Cubana' costs about 80 pesos and is piled high with meats, cheese, and avocado. Don't miss the esquites and elotes carts near the Plaza Cívica, especially in the evening when they're grilled fresh. **🍽️ Traditional Mexican Restaurants** For a sit-down meal, La Casa de Toño on Avenida López Mateos serves excellent pozole and sopes in a lively setting, with mains ranging from 100 to 150 pesos. Another favorite is El Bajío, a branch of the famous Mexico City chain, located in the Satélite area, offering regional dishes like mole and carnitas. Both places get crowded on weekends, so arrive before 2 p.m. to avoid a long wait. **🍕 International Flavors** Craving something different? Try Pizzas del Perro Negro on Calle Gardenias in the Lomas Verdes neighborhood, known for its wood-fired pizzas with creative toppings like chorizo and jalapeños, priced around 180 pesos. For a taste of the Middle East, Al Andalus on Avenida de las Fuentes serves shawarma and falafel plates for 120 to 160 pesos. These spots are popular with locals, so consider ordering takeout if you're in a hurry. **🍰 Sweet Treats and Cafés** Satisfy your sweet tooth at La Esperanza Bakery on Calle Hidalgo, where you can grab fresh conchas and cuernos for under 15 pesos each. For a cozy coffee break, Café Tuxpan on Avenida 16 de Septiembre offers espresso drinks and homemade pastries, with a cappuccino costing about 50 pesos. On weekends, look for street vendors selling buñuelos and churros near the main plaza. **💰 Budget Bites** Eating well in Naucalpan doesn't have to break the bank. Street tacos at El Tizoncito on Avenida López Mateos go for 15 to 20 pesos each, and you can fill up for under 100 pesos. For a hearty meal, the 'comida corrida' at Cocina Económica Mary on Calle Morelos offers soup, rice, and a main dish for just 70 pesos, served Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. **🌙 Evening Food Spots** As night falls, head to the food stalls along Avenida Gustavo Baz, where you'll find tacos de canasta, gorditas, and tamales, perfect for a late-night snack. For a more relaxed dinner, La Terraza del Satélite on Circuito Centro Comercial offers grilled meats and a view of the city lights, with dishes from 200 to 300 pesos. Many of these spots stay open until midnight, so you can eat well even after a late outing. **🚗 Getting Around for Food** To explore Naucalpan's food scene, consider using ride-hailing apps like Uber or Didi, as parking can be scarce in the centro area. The Mexibús Line 1 connects major neighborhoods, but it can be crowded during rush hours. If you're driving, allow extra time for traffic on Periférico, especially on weekends.
