**🗺️ Day 1 Old Town** Start your first day in Ipoh's Old Town, where most heritage sights cluster. Begin at the iconic Concubine Lane (Jalan Panglima), open from 9 AM, and wander through the narrow alleys filled with street art and quirky shops. For lunch, head to Thean Chun Coffee Shop at 1 Jalan Bandar Timah for their famous chicken rice and white coffee, open from 8 AM to 5 PM. **🏛️ Day 1 Heritage Walk** After lunch, walk to the Ipoh Town Hall and the Birch Memorial Clock Tower, both within 10 minutes from Concubine Lane. Continue to the Han Chin Pet Soo museum at 3 Jalan Bijeh Timah, which tells the story of tin mining; tours run at 10 AM, 11 AM, 2 PM, and 3 PM, costing RM15. End your afternoon at the Railway Station, a stunning Moorish-style building, and take photos before sunset. **🍜 Day 1 Evening Food** For dinner, head to the famous Tuck Kee Restaurant at 52 Jalan Sultan Iskandar, known for its Ipoh hor fun and satay, open from 5 PM to midnight. Afterwards, stroll along the Kinta Riverfront Walk, a 10-minute walk away, where you can enjoy the illuminated bridges and night market stalls on weekends. Grab a dessert of tau fu fah at Funny Mountain Soya Bean at 49 Jalan Theatre, open until 7 PM, so visit before it closes. **🌄 Day 2 Cave Temples** On day two, start early and take a 15-minute Grab ride to Perak Tong Cave Temple, open from 7 AM to 6 PM, to climb the 400 steps for a panoramic view. Next, visit Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple, just 5 minutes away, which is free to enter and features a turtle pond. These caves are less crowded before 10 AM, so plan to arrive by 9 AM. **🏞️ Day 2 Nature Break** After the caves, head to the Gunung Lang Recreational Park, a 10-minute drive from Sam Poh Tong. Take the boat ride across the lake (RM3 return) to explore the limestone cliffs and watchtower; the park is open from 8 AM to 7 PM. Pack a picnic or buy snacks from the nearby stalls, as there are limited food options inside. **🛍️ Day 2 Shopping & Tea** In the late afternoon, return to town and visit the Ipoh Parade Mall at 1 Jalan Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah, open from 10 AM to 10 PM, for air-conditioned shopping and a quick snack. For a more local experience, head to the nearby Memory Lane flea market, which operates on Sundays from 7 AM to 1 PM; if you're not there on a Sunday, browse the shops along Jalan Sultan Yussof instead. End with a tea break at the Plan B café in Old Town, known for its artisan coffee and cakes. **🏘️ Day 3 New Town** Spend your final day exploring Ipoh's New Town, starting with a visit to the Ipoh Mural Art Trail, which features over 20 murals scattered along Jalan Panglima and Jalan Masjid. Rent a bicycle from a local shop (around RM10 per hour) to cover more ground, or walk if you prefer. Stop by the Guan Heong Biscuit Shop at 64 Jalan Sultan Iskandar to buy famous kaya puffs and egg tarts, open from 9 AM to 6 PM. **🚌 Getting Around** Ipoh is compact, and most attractions are within a 15-minute drive of each other. Use Grab for convenience, with fares typically RM5 to RM15 within the city, or take the free Ipoh City Bus (route 1) that loops around Old Town and New Town from 6 AM to 10 PM. If you're comfortable, renting a car is also an option, but parking can be tricky in Old Town, so consider using park-and-ride lots.
