**🌊 Start at Minato Mirai** Begin your Yokohama journey at Minato Mirai 21, the futuristic waterfront district. The iconic Landmark Tower offers a 360-degree view from its Sky Garden observatory on the 69th floor (adult ticket 1,000 yen, open 10:00-21:00). Stroll along the promenade past the Cosmo World ferris wheel and the red-brick Yokohama Museum of Art. **🏛️ Explore Chinatown** Yokohama Chinatown is the largest in Japan, with over 600 shops and restaurants. Enter through the colorful Zenrinmon Gate and wander the narrow lanes filled with the aroma of steamed buns and roasted chestnuts. Don't miss the Kanteibyo Temple, a ornate Taoist shrine dedicated to the god of prosperity. **🌳 Relax in Sankeien Garden** Escape the city at Sankeien Garden, a spacious Japanese landscape garden featuring historic buildings relocated from Kyoto and Kamakura. The garden is especially beautiful during cherry blossom season (late March to early April) and autumn foliage (November). Admission is 700 yen for adults, and it's a 10-minute bus ride from Yokohama Station. **🎡 Ride the Cosmo Clock 21** For a classic amusement park experience, head to Yokohama Cosmo World. The centerpiece is the Cosmo Clock 21, one of the world's largest ferris wheels at 112.5 meters tall. A single ride costs 800 yen and takes about 15 minutes, offering stunning views of the bay and the city skyline. **🍜 Try Yokohama Iekei Ramen** Yokohama is the birthplace of Iekei ramen, a rich pork-and-soy sauce broth served with thick noodles and a soft-boiled egg. For an authentic bowl, visit Yoshimuraya near Yokohama Station (1-2-1 Minamisaiwai, open 11:00-23:00). Expect a queue, but the hearty soup is worth the wait. **🚢 Visit the NYK Maritime Museum** Learn about Yokohama's history as a port city at the NYK Maritime Museum, located inside the red-brick Yokohama Port Museum. The museum features interactive exhibits and a full-scale replica of a 1930s ocean liner. Admission is 600 yen for adults, and it's a short walk from Bashamichi Station. **🌆 Evening Stroll in Yamate** Yamate is a historic residential district with Western-style houses from the Meiji era. In the evening, the quiet streets and illuminated buildings create a romantic atmosphere. Visit the Bluff No. 18 house (free entry, open until 17:00) and then walk down the Motomachi shopping street for dinner. **🚃 Ride the Seaside Line** The Kanazawa Seaside Line is an automated guideway transit that runs along the coast from Shin-Sugita to Kanazawa-Hakkei. It offers great views of Tokyo Bay and passes near the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise aquarium. A day pass costs 1,100 yen and allows unlimited rides, making it a fun and scenic way to explore the southern part of the city.
