**🗺️ Day 1 Overview** Start your trip in the Old Town, where narrow lanes and colonial architecture set the pace. Morning visits to the Central Market and the Patam Museum take about three hours combined. After lunch, walk to the Riverside Promenade for a relaxed afternoon, then catch the sunset at the historic Clock Tower. **🏛️ Old Town Morning** Begin at the Central Market (open daily 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM) to sample local fruits and street snacks. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Patam Museum (admission 50,000 IDR), which showcases the region's history. Plan to spend about two hours inside before heading to lunch at Warung Sederhana, a beloved local eatery just around the corner. **🌉 Riverside Afternoon** After lunch, stroll along the Riverside Promenade, a scenic walkway that runs for two kilometers along the Patam River. You can rent a paddleboat for 30,000 IDR per hour from the dock near the bridge. Stop at the Riverside Art Gallery (free entry) to see works by local artists, then continue to the Clock Tower for sunset views. **🍜 Evening Food Scene** For dinner, head to the Night Market on Jalan Merdeka, which opens at 5:00 PM and buzzes until midnight. Try the famous Patam noodles at stall 12, a family-run spot that has been serving for three generations. End the evening with a coconut ice cream from the dessert stall near the main entrance. **🏞️ Day 2 Nature Escape** Dedicate your second day to the green side of Patam, starting with a 30-minute drive to the Patam Botanical Gardens. The gardens open at 8:00 AM and cover 40 hectares of tropical plants, with guided tours available every hour. After a few hours of exploring, have a picnic lunch at the garden's lakeside pavilion. **🚡 Hilltop Views** In the afternoon, take the cable car from the gardens up to Bukit Indah, the city's highest viewpoint. The ride costs 75,000 IDR round-trip and takes 15 minutes each way. From the top, you'll see the entire city and the surrounding mountains, and there's a small café where you can enjoy a coffee while taking in the panorama. **🛍️ Craft Market Evening** Return to the city center by 5:00 PM and visit the Craft Market on Jalan Seni, which specializes in handmade textiles and pottery. The market is open until 9:00 PM, and bargaining is expected, so start at half the asking price. For dinner, try the grilled fish at Restoran Ikan Bakar, a five-minute walk from the market. **🚌 Day 3 Local Life** Spend your final day exploring the residential neighborhoods and local hangouts. Take the city bus (route 2, 5,000 IDR) from the central station to the Kampung Warna district, known for its colorful houses and community murals. Walk through the streets for an hour, then stop at a family-run coffee shop for a traditional Patam brew. **🏖️ Beach Relaxation** In the afternoon, head to Patam Beach, a 20-minute drive from Kampung Warna. The beach is less crowded than the main tourist spots, and you can rent a lounger for 20,000 IDR. Swim in the calm waters or take a walk along the shore, and don't miss the sunset from the pier, which is a favorite spot for locals. **🍽️ Final Dinner** For your last evening, book a table at Dapur Patam, a restaurant that serves modern twists on traditional dishes. The tasting menu costs 250,000 IDR per person and includes five courses, all featuring local ingredients. Make a reservation in advance, as the restaurant only seats 20 guests and fills up quickly.
