**🏞️ Start at Surajkund** Begin your Faridabad trip at Surajkund, an ancient sun pool built by the Tomar king Suraj Pal. The site is especially lively during the Surajkund Crafts Mela in February, but the peaceful lake and surrounding park are worth a visit year-round. Entry is free, and it's located near the Surajkund Road, about 10 minutes from the city center. **🏛️ Explore the Badkhal Lake** Badkhal Lake, once a popular picnic spot, has been revitalized with new walking trails and seating areas. Though the lake itself is often dry, the surrounding hills offer great short hikes and panoramic views of the city. It's located on the Faridabad-Badkhal Road, and entry is free. **🛍️ Shop at Crown Interiorz Mall** For a modern shopping experience, head to Crown Interiorz Mall on Mathura Road. It features a multiplex, a food court with local and international chains, and stores ranging from electronics to fashion. The mall is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, and parking is available for a nominal fee. **🍴 Eat at Sector 15 Market** Sector 15 Market is the go-to place for authentic street food, especially chaat and golgappa. Try the famous 'Aloo Tikki' at Bittoo Tikki Wala or the chole bhature at Shri Krishna Bhandar. Most stalls open by 5 PM and stay busy until midnight, with prices averaging around 50 to 100 rupees per dish. **🚇 Getting Around Faridabad** Faridabad is well-connected by the Delhi Metro's Violet Line, which runs from Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh. Auto-rickshaws and app-based cabs like Ola and Uber are widely available for shorter trips. The city also has a local bus network, but it's less frequent, so plan your routes in advance. **🌳 Relax at Town Park** Town Park in Sector 12 is a sprawling green space with jogging tracks, a children's play area, and a small lake with paddle boats. It's a favorite spot for morning walks and evening picnics, and entry is free. The park is open from 5 AM to 9 PM daily. **🏺 Visit the ISKCON Temple** The ISKCON Temple in Sector 37 is a serene spiritual retreat with beautiful architecture and peaceful gardens. Daily aarti ceremonies take place at 7 AM and 7 PM, and the temple's vegetarian restaurant serves affordable meals. Entry is free, but donations are welcome. **🎭 Catch a Show at NIT Ground** NIT Ground in the old part of Faridabad often hosts cultural events, fairs, and open-air concerts, especially during festivals like Navratri. Check local listings for upcoming events; many are free or have a nominal entry fee of around 50 rupees. The ground is easily reachable by auto from the NIT Metro station.
