**🏞️ Explore Jianglang Mountain** Jianglang Mountain is Jiangshan's most famous natural attraction, known for its three towering rock peaks that rise dramatically from the surrounding landscape. The site is about 25 kilometers from downtown Jiangshan, and you can get there by taking bus line 202 from the Jiangshan Railway Station for about 30 minutes. Entrance fees are 100 yuan during peak season (March to November) and 60 yuan in winter, with opening hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Wear sturdy shoes because the stone steps can be steep and slippery after rain. **🏛️ Discover Ancient Towns** Nianbadu Ancient Town, located about 60 kilometers southwest of Jiangshan city center, is a well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty trading post with cobblestone streets and wooden shopfronts. Admission is 80 yuan, and it's open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. For a quieter experience, head to Xunkou Ancient Town, which has no entrance fee and fewer crowds. Both towns are best explored on foot, and local vendors sell traditional snacks like sesame cakes and rice wine. **🚣 Cruise the Xianxia Lake** Xianxia Lake, a man-made reservoir surrounded by green hills, offers boat rides that let you see the area from the water. The dock is near the Jiangshan exit of the G3 Expressway, and a 40-minute cruise costs around 60 yuan per person. The lake is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and the last boat departs at 3:30 PM. It's a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, especially on hot summer days. **🍜 Taste Local Jiangshan Flavors** Jiangshan is known for its spicy and savory dishes, and you shouldn't miss the local specialty called 'san tou yi zhang' (three heads and one palm), which includes rabbit head, duck head, fish head, and goose palm. For an authentic meal, try the small restaurants along Jiefang Road in the city center, where a full meal for two costs about 80 to 120 yuan. Many places open at 11:00 AM for lunch and 5:00 PM for dinner. If you're not into spicy food, ask for 'bu la' (not spicy) when ordering. **🚌 Get Around Like a Local** Jiangshan has a reliable public bus system, with fares at 2 yuan for most routes within the city. Taxis start at 8 yuan for the first 2 kilometers, and ride-hailing apps like Didi are widely available. For attractions outside the city, such as Jianglang Mountain or Nianbadu, you can take long-distance buses from the Jiangshan Bus Station, which is next to the railway station. Buses to Nianbadu leave every 30 minutes from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM and cost 15 yuan. **🏨 Where to Stay** Most visitors stay in downtown Jiangshan, where hotels like the Jiangshan International Hotel offer comfortable rooms for around 300 to 500 yuan per night. Budget options near the railway station, such as Jinjiang Inn, start at about 150 yuan. If you want to immerse yourself in nature, consider guesthouses near Jianglang Mountain, where prices range from 200 to 400 yuan and often include breakfast. Book ahead during Chinese holidays, as rooms fill up quickly. **🎋 Join a Tea Picking Tour** Jiangshan is part of the green tea region, and several farms around the city offer tea-picking experiences from late March to May. One popular spot is the Jiangshan Green Tea Garden, about 10 kilometers north of downtown, where a half-day tour costs 100 yuan and includes picking, processing, and tasting. Tours usually start at 9:00 AM and last until noon. It's a hands-on way to learn about local tea culture and take home a fresh packet. **🌙 Evening Strolls and Night Markets** When the sun sets, head to the Jiangshan Night Market on Ximen Road, which comes alive around 6:00 PM with stalls selling street food, clothes, and souvenirs. Try the grilled squid and stinky tofu, both local favorites, for around 10 to 20 yuan per skewer. For a quieter evening, walk along the Xujiang River promenade, where locals jog and practice tai chi. The area is well-lit and safe, and you can find small cafes open until 10:00 PM.
