**🍽️ Start in Surfers Paradise** Begin your food tour in Surfers Paradise, where the dining scene buzzes day and night. For a classic beachside breakfast, head to The Beach Shack at 164 The Esplanade, serving hearty eggs benedict from 7 am for around $18. Don't miss the nightly food markets at the Esplanade, where you can sample fresh seafood and global street food from 5 pm. **🍣 Fresh Seafood at the Spit** For the freshest catch, visit the Gold Coast Fishermen's Co-op at 168 Sea World Drive, Main Beach. Open daily from 7 am, this working wharf sells prawns, crabs, and fish straight off the boats, with a small takeaway serving fish and chips for about $15. Grab a seat on the deck and watch the boats come in while you eat. **🍜 Asian Flavors in Southport** Southport's Chinatown, centered on Davenport Street, is the go-to for authentic Asian cuisine. Try the hand-pulled noodles at Little Nyonya at 1 Davenport Street, where a hearty bowl costs around $16. For a late-night bite, the street food stalls at the NightQuarter, open Friday to Sunday from 4 pm, offer everything from dumplings to satay. **🍕 Pizza and Pasta in Broadbeach** Broadbeach is home to some of the best Italian food on the coast. Gemelli Italian at 25A Albert Avenue serves wood-fired pizzas and fresh pasta, with mains from $22, and is busy every night, so book ahead. For a casual slice, head to Alfresco Italian at 80 Surf Parade, where you can grab a takeaway pizza for under $15. **🥐 Cafes and Bakeries in Burleigh** Burleigh Heads has a thriving cafe culture, perfect for a lazy brunch. Commune Cafe at 1729 Gold Coast Highway is famous for its smashed avocado and specialty coffee, with breakfast plates around $20. For pastries, stop by Bam Bam Bakehouse at 8 West Street, where the almond croissants sell out by 10 am, so arrive early. **🌮 Street Food at Night Markets** The NightQuarter at 1 Hinde Street, Helensvale, is a must-visit for street food lovers, open Friday and Saturday from 4 pm to 10 pm. With over 40 food stalls, you can try everything from Mexican tacos to Korean fried chicken, with most dishes under $12. Live music and a lively atmosphere make it a fun evening out. **🍰 Sweet Treats and Desserts** For dessert, head to Max Brenner at 1/50 Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise for indulgent chocolate fondue and crepes, with prices from $12. Alternatively, visit the Gelato at the Palazzo at 2/4 Gold Coast Highway, where a scoop of artisanal gelato costs $5.50 and comes in flavors like macadamia and passionfruit. **💰 Budget and Splurge Options** Eating well in Gold Coast doesn't have to break the bank. For cheap eats, grab a banh mi from Maru at 45 Davenport Street in Southport for just $8, or a hearty burger from Burger Lounge at 5/20 Tedder Avenue, Main Beach, for $15. For a special occasion, book a table at The Tropic at 46 The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise, where a tasting menu costs $95 per person and showcases modern Australian cuisine.
