**🗺️ Day 1 Morning: Central Core** Start at Skanderbeg Square, the city's main hub, easily reached by bus or a 15-minute walk from most central hotels. Visit the National History Museum (open 9am-4pm, closed Mondays, entry 500 lek) and the Et'hem Bey Mosque (free, open daily 8am-6pm). Grab a coffee at one of the cafes on Rruga Ded Gjo Luli before heading to the nearby Bunk'Art 2 (open 9am-9pm, entry 500 lek) for a dose of Cold War history. **🍽️ Day 1 Afternoon: Blloku District** Walk 10 minutes south from the center to Blloku, Tirana's trendy neighborhood once reserved for communist elites. Have lunch at Era (Rruga Ismail Qemali 12, mains around 800 lek) or try traditional Albanian dishes at Oda (Rruga Luigj Gurakuqi 7, mains 600-900 lek). Explore the leafy streets, pop into the small galleries, and end with a coffee at one of the many sidewalk cafes. **🌆 Day 1 Evening: Dajti Express** Take the Dajti Express cable car (open until 10pm in summer, round-trip 1,200 lek) from the eastern edge of the city for panoramic views. The ride takes about 15 minutes, and at the top you can hike or simply enjoy dinner at the Balcony restaurant. Return to the city center by taxi (around 1,000 lek) or the cable car before it closes. **🏛️ Day 2 Morning: Communist History** Begin at Bunk'Art 1 (open 9am-4pm, entry 500 lek), a massive underground bunker turned museum, located a 20-minute bus ride from the center (take bus lines 1 or 2). Afterward, visit the House of Leaves (Rruga Ibrahim Rugova 5, open 9am-4pm, entry 500 lek) to learn about surveillance under communism. Both sites are in the same area, so you can walk between them in about 10 minutes. **🌳 Day 2 Afternoon: Grand Park** Head to the Grand Park of Tirana, a large green space perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Rent a bike from one of the kiosks near the entrance (around 300 lek per hour) and cycle around the artificial lake. Stop for lunch at one of the lakeside restaurants, such as the popular Fresh (Rruga Sami Frashëri, mains around 700 lek). **🍷 Day 2 Evening: Traditional Dinner** For a memorable dinner, book a table at Mullixhiu (Rruga Myslym Shyri 23, mains 1,200-1,800 lek), a farm-to-table restaurant that showcases Albanian cuisine. Alternatively, try the cozy Vëlla 7 (Rruga Pjetër Bogdani 7, mains around 900 lek) for grilled meats and local wine. After dinner, stroll along Rruga Myslym Shyri, which is lively with bars and cafes until late. **🛍️ Day 3 Morning: New Bazaar** Explore the New Bazaar (Pazari i Ri), open daily from 7am to 5pm, where you can sample fresh produce, cheese, and local honey. Pick up souvenirs like handmade crafts or raki at the stalls. Nearby, the Tanners' Bridge, a 18th-century Ottoman stone bridge, is a quick 5-minute walk and worth a photo stop. **🚶 Day 3 Afternoon: Art and Parks** Visit the National Gallery of Arts (Bulevardi Dëshmorët e Kombit, open 10am-5pm, entry 300 lek) to see contemporary Albanian art. Then walk 10 minutes to the Pyramid, a controversial monument now covered in graffiti and a popular hangout spot. End your afternoon with a coffee at one of the cafes in the nearby Taiwan Park area.
