Apps, mostly. Sitting at cafes solo reads odd.

Friends-of-friends is huge there, way more than I expected. House parties and birthday dinners at someone's nha introduce way more couples than swiping. The Salty Coffee thing feels more like a date spot than where u'd actually meet someone new.

Yea the nha thing tracks, but I'd add weddings are where it really kicks off. One wedding and suddenly you're in like three group chats. Met my now-ex that way lol.

birthday dinners really are the cheat code, half the couples i know started at one of those.

honestly the nha hang bia spots on Pham Ngu Lao do the same thing, cheap tables turn strangers into a group by round two

Coffee date culture at places like The Workshop or Rang Rang is real, but ppl often meet through hobby classes, bouldering at Viethaus, or running clubs around Thao Dien. What surprised me most: asking is direct and low-drama, no weird games.

Quan com Nga on Hoang Sa is more of a quick lunch spot than a sit down meal honestly. Com tam plates around there run 40k to 60k dong depending on toppings. For a proper sit down, the spots on Vo Van Tan are worth the walk.
