Honestly the salted coffee at Salty runs close to 60k now and the salt cream is more gimmick than craft, so I'd walk to a Pham Ngu Lao side spot for beans and treat Salty as a once-off.

fair point on the gimmick, but for a march visit the salt cream still beats the syrupy stuff most Bui Vien places pour.

ca phe muoi at 45k on Co Giang, beans fresher

second this, the salt cream is doing the heavy lifting

kinda agree on the price but the beans aren't really the weak point, it's the queue after 8am. i'd still keep it as a weekend thing and grab a plain ca phe sua da elsewhere on weekdays. what spot on the Pham Ngu Lao side were u thinking

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

nguyen trai is a trek if u want variety, the little spots off the hem alleys tend to roast fresher than the main road ones. the salted coffee is basically ca phe muoi, condensed milk & a salt cream top, sweeter & thicker than u expect. worth one try, not every day tbh

yeah the hem spots are the move, but watch the ice situation in march, it's already brutal by 9am. i'd do salty once for the novelty then find a quen quan nearby, they'll remember your order by day three.

hem spots off Tran Hung Dao side, ask for it less sweet

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

fresher roast but ask for it hot, ice dilutes it

the salt cream makes or breaks it, ask for extra

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

The Salty Coffee's wifi is fine for calls, and most people I know aimed for three months and stayed closer to six.

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Six months tracks, but the Europe overlap is brutal here, like 2pm to 6pm ish.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Yeah, US overlap is the killer, 10pm to 2am
