Best breakfast near Daybreak Cafe in Los Angeles 2026?

fmd_goodDaybreak Cafe · #cafe #breakfast #losangeles
I'm visiting Los Angeles next month and staying close to Daybreak Cafe. Any recommendations for good breakfast spots nearby, and is Daybreak itself worth a stop? Cofax on Fairfax does a solid breakfast burrito, and the attached coffee bar beats most sit-down spots nearby.

The breakfast burrito holds up, though I'd skip weekends after 9 since the tiny lot off Rosewood fills fast.

Nate n Al's on Beverly, get there before 8

Eight is optimistic, honestly. By 8:30 on a Saturday the counter seats are gone and you're hovering by the register. If you sleep in, Dupar's at the Farmers Market does a decent no-frills plate without the wait.

Parking on Beverly gets towed after 8 for street sweeping, so the early arrival doubles as a free spot.

Get the breakfast burrito before 10, salsa's better early.

Agree on the coffee bar, their cold brew is the move.

that cold brew is legit but i'd put the breakfast sandwich at the place on 3rd & Huntley above it, biscuit holds up way better than their bun. burrito's still the safe call if ur starving tho

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Fairfax is the right call but the burrito's only half the story. Their iced horchata cold brew is what keeps me coming back, and the patio on Oakwood is quiet before the lunch rush hits.

Daybreak's fine but the line at Sqirl on Virgil is worth it for the sorrel pesto rice.

Best pub food near The Anchor in Los Angeles 2026

The Anchor on Main in Venice is my go-to when I want a proper pint and something better than standard bar food. Their fish and chips hold up and the back patio is worth grabbing on a warm evening. Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica does a proper Sunday roast and curry chips, worth the ten minute drive up Lincoln.

Book a table for roast, walk-ins get turned away.

The Anchor's kitchen is solid but I'd also walk two blocks to Hinano Cafe on Washington if you want a burger and a beer without the sit-down feel. Cash only, which catches people out. The Anchor patio is still the better call for a group, though the fish and chips at Hinano are cheaper and the crowd is more local than tourist on weeknights.

honestly i always forget the cash thing til im at teh counter, atm across the street saved me once

Hinano's is a solid call, just mind the parking situation on Washington after 6. The little lot behind fills up quick and street spots vanish, so bike or walk if you can.

Parking on that stretch is permit-only after 6, so check the signs before you commit to a street spot.

That deal runs Monday to Thursday only and stops at 7 sharp, so don't roll in at 6:50 expecting to order two.
