I met a great person at the Geffen Playhouse during a performance on November 17th. Any ideas on how to find them again?

During intermission, we mostly talked about the play & other shows we plan to see, including Back to the Future the Musical. He presented as a white male in mid 30s, 6'2-ish with light brown hair & possibly the ability to grow a beard lol! He wore clean boots & sat with his ankles and arms crossed as to mindfully not touch either patron sitting next to him (I thought this was so considerate!). He mentioned that he lives in Temple City & has a dad & a sister. Big hunk of a guy, if this gets to you, I'd really like to see you again! I'm sorry I scurried off to my car so quickly after the show, I got flustered but am kicking myself that I didn't get your name or contact info. If you're interested, please DM this account (this is my best friend's account and she will get me the message)

temple city is a trek from westwood so he prob drove and parked in the Geffen structure on Le Conte. that lot fills up fast for 7pm shows so regulars get there early, like 6:15 early, and a lot of them grab a drink at the little bar in the courtyard beforehand. if you hit up a future show and hang in that courtyard before curtain you might just run into him again. also worth checking if the Geffen has a post-show reception for donors that night, sometimes those are open to the public.

Maybe try the Geffen's post-show talkback nights or their donor events, that crowd tends to be regulars who know each other. If he lives out in Temple City he probably drives in for specific shows, so the Back to the Future run at the Pantages is your best bet for a random run-in.

honestly the Geffen is tiny, like 400 seats, so if he's a subscriber you could try catching him at another show in the season. check the Playhouse's "wait wait" list or just show up to the next few productions, subscribers tend to sit in the same sections. also that Back to the Future run at the Pantages, if he mentioned it he prob already has tickets, worth posting in the LA theatre subreddit too since the Geffen crowd overlaps heavy with that scene.

These vendors typically operate from portable carts or vehicles at public gatherings. Does anyone have information on how to contact such vendors or recommendations for reliable services?

honestly the SGV has a ton of licensed cart operators who mostly do private stuff now. look up "hot dog cart catering San Gabriel Valley" on Yelp and you'll get a handful that are fully permitted, which matters if your venue needs a health permit on file. expect around $400 to $700 for a few hours plus a per person minimum, usually 50 or so. the ones based in Alhambra and Rosemead tend to be cheaper than Pasadena because they're not paying that rent.

fwiw the county health dept keeps a public list of permitted mobile food operators, its searchable by city on the LA County Public Health site. filter for "pushcart" or "MFF" and you'll get vendors cleared for SGV zip codes, which saves you the headache of a venue asking for paperwork later. also worth checking with the Old Town Monrovia or Alhambra farmers market folks, the carts there are usually booked solid but they know who's free and they'll pass along names. just dont wait till the last week, good ones book out 2 to 3 weeks in teh summer.

You could try hitting up the folks who set up outside Home Depot or the DMV in El Monte on weekends, a lot of those carts are owner operated and they'll do private gigs if you ask. Just walk up and grab a card, they usually have one taped to the cart.
