Examples attached. I know these pictures are taken at places that are like Ifykyk. Was wondering if anyone know anything similar like these?

If you're going for that moody industrial look like in your reference shots, head to the Arts District downtown around Traction Avenue. The old warehouses and graffiti-covered walls give you a lot of texture without people photobombing. Another spot that works well is the 6th Street Viaduct, especially right before sunrise when the lights are still on and there's barely any traffic.

For something more natural with a bit of grit, try the dirt roads up in Runyon Canyon right off Mulholland Drive. You can park your car on the side and get the city skyline behind it without the tourist crowds that fill the main trail. Just watch out for the rangers near the entrance because they'll ticket you if you're blocking the fire lane.

Griffith Observatory always delivers killer shots, especially at sunset. Also check out the beaches at sunset, Pacific Coast Highway offers tons of options.

The Bradbury Building downtown has that wrought iron and marble interior that photographs really well, but for a car you'd probably have to shoot from the outside where the old brick archways frame the vehicle nicely. Around the corner on 3rd and Broadway there's a parking structure with a rooftop that gives you the whole downtown skyline without paying for a permit.

If you want something more unexpected, drive up to the Hollywood Reservoir. The gate on Lake Hollywood Drive opens early and the road wraps around the water with the Hollywood sign peeking through the trees. You can pull over at several spots and get a clean shot with the sign and reservoir in frame, and it's usually dead quiet on weekday mornings.

These vendors typically operate from portable carts or vehicles at public gatherings. Does anyone have information on how to contact such vendors or recommendations for reliable services?

honestly the SGV has a ton of licensed cart operators who mostly do private stuff now. look up "hot dog cart catering San Gabriel Valley" on Yelp and you'll get a handful that are fully permitted, which matters if your venue needs a health permit on file. expect around $400 to $700 for a few hours plus a per person minimum, usually 50 or so. the ones based in Alhambra and Rosemead tend to be cheaper than Pasadena because they're not paying that rent.

fwiw the county health dept keeps a public list of permitted mobile food operators, its searchable by city on the LA County Public Health site. filter for "pushcart" or "MFF" and you'll get vendors cleared for SGV zip codes, which saves you the headache of a venue asking for paperwork later. also worth checking with the Old Town Monrovia or Alhambra farmers market folks, the carts there are usually booked solid but they know who's free and they'll pass along names. just dont wait till the last week, good ones book out 2 to 3 weeks in teh summer.

You could try hitting up the folks who set up outside Home Depot or the DMV in El Monte on weekends, a lot of those carts are owner operated and they'll do private gigs if you ask. Just walk up and grab a card, they usually have one taped to the cart.
