The FlyAway warning on their site is about the terminal curbsides, not the bus lot. You just walk to the dedicated FlyAway stop outside the arrivals level, buy a ticket from the machine or the driver, and you're good to go.

If you're near LAX and catching an Amtrak or Metrolink train, the FlyAway drops you right at Union Station's Patsaouras Transit Plaza. That's the same building where all the trains board, so it's a short walk inside. Just know the bus can get stuck on the 110 if there's an accident or Dodgers game traffic.

just adding another data point - if you're catching amtrak, the flyaway drops you on the east side of union station by the bus plaza, not the main entrance. it's like a 2 min walk through the tunnel to the amtrak waiting area. the machines take cards but weirdly some of them only take exact change for cash so bring a $10 bill just in case

if you're near lax and need a train, flyaway is fine. just know the last bus leaves union station around 11pm so check the schedule if you're coming back late. the lot at lax is right next to terminal 1, you can't miss the big blue signs. also worth noting that metrolink tickets are cheaper than amtrak for regional trips, and the flyaway driver won't check if you're a passenger or not

Best beer selection near Hops Hall in Los Angeles 2026

Anyone know what the tap list at Hops Hall is looking like in 2026? I've been meaning to swing by for a pour but want to know if the rotation's still solid before I make the trip. the rotation still moves, they had a hazy & a couple sours on when i stopped by last month. if u want variety tho i'd hit the fridge at Sunset Beer Co first, way deeper list & u can take cans to go

Highland Park Brewery, right off Fig, better for hoppy stuff.

Hermosillo's tap list beats both for hoppy stuff.

honestly the cooler at Cap N Cork in Los Feliz is underrated for cans, way less picked over

Agreed on the depth, though their coolers get picked clean of Pliny fast, so go early in the week.

Their tap list rotates Thursdays, cans hold better.

Sunset Beer Co is solid but their taps are the sleeper, not just the fridge. Grab a pour there before you haul cans around, way fresher than anything sitting cold.

Fair call on the rotation, but I'd give yourself a buffer on timing, they tap the new stuff early evening and the good hazy usually kicks by Friday night. If you're driving over, the lot behind the building fills up fast after 6.

yeah the lot's a mess after 6, i usually just park on the side streets off York and walk. way less hassle. good call on the friday thing tho.
