The ABQ Ride bus system works fine for getting around the core areas like Nob Hill, Downtown, and Uptown. The Rapid Ride lines on Central and Lomas are the most frequent and reliable, running every 15 minutes during the day. For a two month stay, grab a monthly pass from the Alvarado Transit Center, it's way cheaper than paying cash fares every time. If you're staying near the University or Old Town, a bike is a solid backup since the bus routes slow down in the evenings and on weekends.

If you're not near a Rapid Ride line, the bus system can get pretty sparse, especially on weekends. I'd recommend getting a bike lock that works with the bus racks, that way you can bike to the nearest stop and catch a ride if you get tired or the weather turns. The ART buses on Central have dedicated lanes so they're actually faster than driving during rush hour, which is nice.

yeah the bus is decent for the main drags but honestly id just get a bike if you can. the city's pretty flat and the bike lanes on central are getting better, plus you'll save a ton of cash vs rideshares for two months
