Pretty sure that place closed down a while back, walked past and it was shuttered. Shame, that happy hour was decent value for the area. If you're after something similar now you'd prob have to head further east.

£17 around Mayfair is roughly the going rate now, sadly. Sidecar itself sits in that Connaught Village pocket just off Edgware Road, and rents there push prices up. If you want the same quality for less, try somewhere like Swift in Soho, where martinis run closer to £13 to £14.

Fair point but Sidecar's actually on Connaught Street itself, so you're paying that W1 postcode premium either way.

fair point, people mix those two up all the time. Fwiw the old diner site is just past the pike exit, not really a detour at all... shame it's gone tho.
