Is Disco 2000 in London worth it for a first-timer in 2026?

Coming over from Manchester for a weekend in March and a few people keep telling me to check out Disco 2000. Is it actually a good night out or just hype? Also do they do tickets on the door or should… Coming over from Manchester for a weekend in March and a few people keep telling me to check out Disco 2000. Wear proper shoes, that floor gets sticky by midnight and it's a long walk back to Liverpool Street when you miss the last tube.

Honestly i just grab a night bus, and yeah the sticky floor thing is no joke.

the shoes thing is real. last time i ended up walking to Old Street instead, quieter and theres a 24hr place for a coffee on the way. book ahead online btw, door queue on a saturday is brutal.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Sticky floor's real but a taxi from Bishopsgate is ten mins and about 15 quid if you split it

splitting it that way works out cheaper than the night bus fare drama if there's four of u tbh

true about the walk but if u cut through the back streets toward shoreditch high street overground its way quicker than liverpool st, last one is around half 12 though so keep an eye on it

disco 2000 is a proper night out but it gets rammed, so book ahead online rather than risking the door on a saturday. it's in the old pickle factory bit off great eastern street if that helps u place it. id honestly say the music carries it more than the venue itself

Yeah, the sound system does the heavy lifting.

Agree on the music carrying it, but the room itself is nothing special, low ceiling and no real character, so go for the DJ not the venue.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Music yes, but March means the smoking area is grim. Bring a proper coat.

Best theme park near London for 2026?

Anyone been to Adventure Park recently, is it worth the trip out for a family day in 2026 or should I stick with the bigger names? Trying to work out if the queues and ticket prices actually stack up. Chessington, off-peak Tuesdays in term time.

yeah term time is the trick, but watch the school holiday calendar, Surrey half term weeks still get rammed. midweek in like late April or early May is dead quiet, walked onto Vampire twice. book online though, gate prices are grim.

worth checking the shorter local breaks too, some boroughs stagger theirs so the park stays quiet when the rest of the country is off

good shout but I'd go Wednesday over Tuesday, staff seem to get the rides running quicker after a quiet Monday. Also the M25 clockwise from the A3 is a lottery before 9am so leave early or you'll sit in it.

arrow_drop_up 13 arrow_drop_down

M25 clockwise is fine if you're coming from the A3 side, it's the anti-clockwise stretch past Wisley that backs up. Also the car park fills by half ten on weekends so pre-book it with your ticket.

Thursday's even better, half-term crowds are gone by then.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Fair point on staff warming up, though I'd still take the A243 over the A3 any day, Esher traffic is chaos.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Image ricarda local ·

Wednesday does seem calmer, though I'd aim to be through the gate by half nine rather than sitting in traffic. The real killer is the A3 junction itself, not the motorway, so coming off at Painshill and cutting through Cobham saves the aggro.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

The staff warm-up thing is real but rides like Rattlesnake still run one train till about 11, so early entry just means queueing in the cold.

honestly tuesdays work but check the ride closures page first, they often shut the log flume and a couple of others for maintenance early season. nothing worse than dragging the kids out there and half the good stuffs taped off.
