How to meet people at London clubs in 2026

Anyone got tips for meeting people at clubs like Pulse on a regular night out, not just a one off? Looking for something recurring where you actually see the same faces.

Pulse Fridays, same crowd every week

arrow_drop_up 15 arrow_drop_down

yes but go early, doors at 10

That's true but the regulars tend to drift in after midnight, so getting there at doors just means standing about. Go around 12:30 and you'll land right in the middle of the same faces.

Midnight works at the bigger rooms but smaller basement spots fill by 11, so it depends where you're going.

Bit of a mission to get in before 11 though

weeknight regulars at smaller rooms like Corsica Studios stick better than weekend crowds imo

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

tbh I've never lived there but when I visited, smaller spots like jazz bars in Soho felt way easier to chat to regulars than big clubs.

Fair shout, though the Soho jazz regulars skew older and it's more nodding acquaintance than actual mates.

Is the area around City Museum safe at night in 2026?

Barbican tube, stick to Beech Street

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Aldersgate Street's fine too, well lit.

Fair point, though the stretch past the Museum of London roundabout gets patchy with fewer people about after 10.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image bianca local ·

true, though the stretch by the police station is brighter than the bit near the roundabout. i'd still head up to the station rather than cut down the side roads tbh.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

agreed but the bit north of the station gets quiet past 10, id stick to the main drag & cross over at the lights rather than jaywalking the side roads. also the 153 runs late if ur heading toward liverpool street

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yeah that stretch is fine, just cut through the Barbican estate itself if its raining, its covered most of teh way.

Watch out for the Whitecross Street bend though, quieter and dimmer once the market's shut.

the bend itself is fine, its the bit past the golden lane turning thats dead after the market packs up. i just walk down to old street station instead, more people about

beech street's covered walkway spits u out right by the station entrance so u barely touch the road

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Moorgate's the better exit if ur heading west, fewer dark corners than the silk street side
