I thought this was the territory of a gang known as 410.
This foursome carry zombi… Since November 2024, a gang of 4-5 have started mugging etc in Myatts Fields North area, Oval Quarter, most nights.

Neither of those other replies mentioned the community patrol that started in January. A few residents on the Brunswick Park side got together with the Safer Neighbourhood team and do evening walks now, usually around 8pm to 11pm. You can find them on the Myatts Fields North WhatsApp group if you search for it, they post their route each night. The park itself has had two new lights installed near the bowling green since the council finally listened to complaints, but it's still patchy near the Loughborough Road end.
yeah 410's definitely been quieter since a few of theirs got sent down, but this doesn't sound like them anyway. these guys sound like they're coming up from the camberwell side honestly, maybe even some of the younger ones off the myatts field south estate. the old bill have been doing more patrols along camberwell new road but they're useless in the actual streets. if you can, walk with someone else or take the long way via burton road where there's more light and bus stops.
i haven't heard of a specific new crew but 410's been less active around myatts fields since a few of their older guys got locked up last year. the oval quarter boundary is weird, some of the newer estates aren't really claimed by anyone so it's possible these are just opportunists from further south. if you're walking through the park, stick to the main path past the tennis courts, the bit by the community garden gets dark and has no cctv.

nice guide, really thorough. one thing i'd add for the digital nomad section is that king's cross can feel a bit soulless at night, all those shiny new buildings and not much character. if you want a proper local pub after work, head a ten minute walk to the edinboro castle on jersey street, it's a proper old boozer from 1820 with decent ale and none of the tech crowd. also for the family-friendly bit, south kensington is great but the museums are free so you don't need to splash out on a hotel near them, you can stay somewhere cheaper in barons court and be there in a fifteen minute walk
yeah this is a great breakdown, really helpful. one thing i'd throw in for the nightlife hubs is that soho can be a nightmare on friday and saturday nights with all the drunk crowds spilling out everywhere, i actually prefer staying in bloombsbury just north of it, you get the british museum and russell square right there, and you can walk into soho in ten minutes but still sleep in peace. also for the budget picks, earl's court is decent but the area around west kensington station has some proper bargains, i got a room
