Worth it visiting expo now?

We are couple of days away from the end of our two weeks trip to Dubai ..was thinking of visiting expo..i heard it's pretty empty now.

Is it worth visiting? Is there something to do/see/visit there?

honestly if you haven't been yet i'd skip it unless you're really into architecture. the sustainability pavilion is still pretty cool and the water feature at al wasl plaza is nice but most of the country pavilions are closed or empty now. you'd be paying for a taxi out to desert and walking around a ghost town basically

the dubai mall fountain show or even a stroll through al seef would be way more fun for your last couple days. if you really want an expo vibe just go to the dubai south area and look at the dome from outside, same effect without the ticket price

ngl the other replies are right that most pavilions are closed but the expo site itself has some decent food popups now that weren't there during the peak. there's a few cafes and a rooftop bar at the dubai exhibition centre that's actually pretty chill with a view of the dome. if you're into photography the empty spaces make for some surreal shots with no crowds. i'd only go if you're already in the area though, not worth a dedicated trip from the marina or downtown

You're asking this after two weeks in Dubai and you still haven't figured out that the Expo site is mostly a big, half-empty concrete park now. Yes, it's dead. The main pavilions are closed or stripped down. You'll be walking for miles in the heat to see a

Dubai/Sharjah Road Scam?

I helped a guy stranded on the ring road, gave him a ride to Ras Al Khaima after he claimed to have lost his wallet. Turns out he was fine, just jumped out and vanished. Did I get played? damn u basically did a free taxi run to rak. thing is they usually target cars with a single guy driving & look for dubai plates so u look like u got somewhere to be. best move is roll ur window down like two inches, say u already called the cops for them & keep moving, dont even unlock the door

yeah that's a known one on e311 & the sharjah ring road, usually they wave you down near the adnoc or before the rta cameras claiming wallet got lifted. classic play is they ask for a lift to the next emirate then bail once you slow down, sometimes a second guy on a bike is tracking you. next time just call 999 or drop them at the nearest police point, don't let anyone in your car off the highway ngl

The RAK route is the tell. No one genuinely stranded on the ring road needs to get all the way to Ras Al Khaimah, that's a 90 minute drive. These guys work in pairs and the second car picks them up after they hop out, usually somewhere past the Al Sajaa junction or near the ADNOC on E311. If it happens again, tell them you'll drive them to the nearest police station and watch how fast the story changes.
