the guide is solid but missing one of my fav spots - there's a place in kabalagala called swad that does incredible indian-ugandan fusion. their chicken tikka rolex is 7,000 shillings and honestly life-changing. also if you're after nyama choma, skip the nakasero stalls and go to the guys along jinja road near the clock tower roundabout after 8pm, they've got the best charcoal-grilled liver i've found in town and it's only 2,000 a skewer
I don't see enough love for the breakfast scene here. Go to a place called Cafe Pap in Bukoto, they do a Ugandan breakfast platter with katogo (matoke mixed with offal or beef in sauce) and it's about 12,000 shillings, comes with a free cup of spiced tea. Way better than the hotel buffets and they're open from 7am.
ngl the rolex from wandegeya is a must but if you want the real deal go to the guy near the old taxi park entrance on kampala road around 7am. he makes them with fresh cabbage and a bit of chili, only 3,000 shillings and he's been there for years. also the guide missed that fang fang is great for luwombo but their pork belly is underrated, get it with the steamed rice not the posho

Nice write up. One thing I'd add for Day 1 morning is that the Uganda Museum has a really good collection of traditional musical instruments you can actually play, not just look at. The guide there usually lets you try the amadinda (a wooden xylophone) if you ask. For Day 2, if you take that Jinja bus from the Old Taxi Park, make sure you're at the right stage for Jinja specifically, not the general park area, because the boda drivers will happily take you to the wrong spot if you're not clear. The Jinja trip is worth it but it's a long day, so I'd swap the Entebbe plans for a relaxed evening at the Ndere Cultural Centre on Day 3 instead, it's closer and you get dancing and storytelling with dinner.
the mosque tour is solid but heads up, you gotta cover your legs and shoulders or theyll make you rent a robe for like a dollar. also, if you're at nakasero market for a rolex, try the one from the lady near the main entrance, she's been there for years and adds a bit of cabbage and carrot that makes it better than most. for day 2, if jinja feels rushed, skip the wildlife centre and just do the botanical gardens in entebbe instead, it's quieter and you can see monkeys for free without paying entry
solid itinerary but i'd add that if you're near the old taxi park, grab a fresh sugar cane juice from the guys with the machines on the street, it's like 50 cents and perfect for the heat. also for day 3, the uganda crafts market is good but check the craft village in bugolobi too, it's smaller but less pushy and you can find similar stuff for cheaper
