Sukhumvit Sleepless Nights?

fmd_good Sukumvit Backpacker

So, I'm heading to Bangkok next month and booked a stay at Sukhumvit Backpacker. Heard it's a crazy place, buzzing with people all night. My question is...how do you actually *sleep* there? I'm not e… more

Earplugs, my friend. Seriously, good earplugs are your best bet. Those foam ones? Forget 'em. Get some decent silicone ones, maybe even some noise-canceling headphones if you're really sensitive. Sukhumvit is... vibrant. Think jackhammer meets a full moon party. Beyond that, maybe try to get a room away from the street – if that's even possible in a backpacker's. A top floor room might be a little quieter. And finally, accept that you might not get eight hours. Just aim for enough sleep to get you through those temple visits. You'll survive. Mae Luan Road, huh? Sounds awesome. You're lucky to stumble on that – it’s definitely off the beaten path. For drinks later, try heading towards the old town area. There are some really cool bars tucked away in the side streets, less crowded than the Bangla Road madness. Think more laid-back, local vibe. You'll find some smaller bars with live music, or quieter spots for a quieter drink. Just wander around a bit; you’ll find something. Enjoy!

Yeah, Mae Luan Road was surprisingly chill. Thanks for the old town tip! Bangla Road looked…intense. I’ll definitely check out the quieter bars tonight. Hoping to find some decent live music. Fingers crossed!
