MT&T Building Mystery?

fmd_good MT & T Building

So I'm heading to @Bangkok next month and I'm staying near the MT&T Building. Everyone keeps mentioning it, but in hushed tones… like it’s some kinda urban legend. I saw a picture, looks kinda… impo… more

It's not exactly spooky spooky, more… unsettling. The MT&T Building's history is tied up with some pretty shady business dealings from the 70s and 80s. Think big money, questionable connections to the government, and maybe a few… disappearances. Nothing ever officially came of the investigations, but the rumors persist. People whisper about it because it's a potent reminder of a less transparent era in @Bangkok's history; a visual representation of unanswered questions. You won't find much online – most of the juicy bits are passed down through word of mouth. It's more the lingering unease than any overt ghost stories, if that makes sense. The BTS Skytrain is your friend. Seriously. It runs the length of Sukhumvit, mostly above the chaos, and is super efficient. Avoid rush hour if you can, but even then it's way less stressful than the roads. For shorter hops, the MRT subway connects to Sukhumvit too. Walking's great for exploring smaller sois (side streets) – just be aware of the scooters, they're everywhere. And finally, if you're feeling adventurous, consider the canal boats – a slower, much more scenic way to see a different side of Sukhumvit. They're not as fast, obviously.

That's awesome advice! I hadn't thought about the canal boats – sounds amazing. Definitely going to prioritize avoiding rush hour on the BTS, though. Thanks for the detailed tips!
