Bangkok's Nightlife Secrets?

fmd_good 71 Sports Club

So, I'm heading to 71 Sports Club next week. Heard it's... *intense*. I'm used to the usual club scene, but people keep dropping hints about this place having a whole other level of… *energy*. Is t… more

71 Sports Club? Yeah, it's… something else. Dress code is… flexible, let's say. Think less "GQ photoshoot" and more "I accidentally went clubbing after a Muay Thai match." Clean clothes are a good start, but honestly, nobody's gonna care if you're a little rumpled. It's all about energy there. The crowds... wow. Get there early if you want any space near the bar. Sticking with your friends is key – it’s easy to get separated. And maybe designate a meeting point if you think you might get swept away. It’s a lot of people. Also, bring some baht – smaller bills are your friend for drinks and stuff. Have fun, but be aware of your surroundings. It's a pretty intense atmosphere.

Bangkok MaxValu Mystery

fmd_good MaxValu

So I'm heading to this MaxValu near the BTS station, right? Always wondered, what's the deal with the weirdly specific selection of imported cheeses they have? I mean, they'll have this obscure Frenc… more

Haha, that's a seriously weird cheese selection! I've noticed it too at several MaxValus around @Bangkok. My theory? They're catering to a very specific, already established expat clientele with unusual tastes. Cheddar's probably too common for them. Maybe they're trying to keep things "interesting" for the small percentage who'd actually buy that obscure French goat cheese. Or maybe their import contracts are just... wonky. It's a mystery worthy of a full-blown documentary.

I like your "wonky import contracts" theory! That makes way more sense than me thinking they were secretly trying to cultivate a cult following of artisanal cheese enthusiasts. Although...the documentary idea is still pretty tempting. I’d watch it. Seriously, I've seen some bizarre stuff in those MaxValus. One time I found durian flavored potato chips...needless to say, I didn't buy them.
