Dude, Makro in Bangkok is a trip. Forget the usual stuff; you're gonna find things you didn't even know you needed. Seriously. I once found a ridiculously oversized wok there, like, seriously, you could cook a whole pig in it. Also, their selection of weird-ass Thai snacks is legendary – stuff you won't find anywhere else. Think dried mangoes with chili, super spicy seaweed sheets... the works. Check out their frozen section too; sometimes they have these insane ice cream flavors. Beyond food, look around the housewares section – they have crazy kitchen gadgets, sometimes imported stuff you’d never see in smaller shops. Just be prepared to spend hours there; it's a maze! Prepare for sensory overload. You’ll be so happy you went.

Sivalai Place is pretty central, that's good. Grab yourself a Grab app (it's like Uber but way more common in @Bangkok). Way easier and safer than haggling with tuk-tuk drivers, especially if you're not familiar with the area. Tell the driver you want to go to a "local market" – many will know exactly what you mean. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, just wander around the streets near your hotel. Look for places with lots of locals eating; that's usually a good sign. Don't be afraid to just point at what others are eating and order the same thing – it's a great way to try new things and rarely disappointing. You'll find amazing street food within a short walk from Sivalai; just keep your eyes peeled and your wits about you. Enjoy!
