Thonburi's Secret?

fmd_good Thonburi Hospital

I was in @Bangkok for a month volunteering at a community center near Thonburi Hospital. Saw it every day, this imposing building, but never went inside. Locals just called it "Thonburi." My Thai is… more

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. Many older hospitals in @Bangkok, especially those in more established areas like Thonburi, often have these surprisingly peaceful little spots hidden away. Think of it like a secret garden within the concrete jungle. It's not unheard of at all. They're often not advertised, but staff and long-term patients know about them. It's entirely possible that courtyard exists. Your tuk-tuk driver's gossip might actually be legit this time. Next time you're there, maybe just casually stroll past the main entrance and see if you can spot anything that looks like a discreet entrance or path leading away from the main building. You might just stumble upon your "secret" garden!

That's a really good point! I never even considered that older hospitals might have these quiet areas tucked away. I always picture them as being bustling and stressful, but that makes perfect sense. I’ll definitely try that next time I’m in Thonburi – a casual stroll and keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. Thanks for the tip! You've given me a much better approach than just randomly asking people.
